Greg Dave releases new single 'Waiting On Maybe' feat. Conor Standish and Jul Big Green

The songwriter and producer of hip hop known as Greg Dave has released his latest official single, “Waiting On Maybe” feat. Conor Standish and Jul Big Green. The single has been proudly published on the Sequence Music record label. Smooth, stylish and more than a little soulful, “Waiting On Maybe” showcases Greg Dave as one of the most intriguing hip-hop artists of the year so far and promises that he has plenty more where that came from.

Cleveland, OH’s Greg Dave cites as main artistic influences Rick Rubin, Dr. Dre, Sublime, Avicii, and “anything from the Motown era.” Greg Dave’s own sound takes elements from each of these and adds something fresh and unique for a result unlike anything today’s music fans have heard before. Asked to describe the overall meaning of “Waiting On Maybe,” Greg Dave writes, “’Waiting On Maybe’ is about being in love with someone and wanting to take the relationship to the next level, but you think the other person isn’t on the same page, and is just using you for superficial and physical reasons. It conveys the frustrations and tribulations of the ‘love games’ people play in a fun and relatable way.”

Producer, composer and DJ Greg Dave began his music career as a bassist in the punk rock scene. After cutting his teeth recording demos for his own band, he branched out and started producing them for others. Dave’s current official bio says that “There he discovered his passion for producing.”

Finding interests outside punk, Greg Dave started making beats. He soon found himself in collaboration with Cleveland’s hotbed underground hip-hop community. Now, after an internship in Nashville, TN, Greg Dave collaborates with artists from several different music categories.
