Imagine a normal pair of mom jeans. Sleek, stylish, and versatile. Now imagine that awesome pair of jeans with clear, poncho-style plastic covering the knees.

If you’re confused about why this product exists, you’re far from alone. What’s even more baffling is that you can purchase these clear-knee jeans from your local Nordstrom, meaning that a higher-up at one of the world’s largest clothing brands saw these and thought they’d be worth carrying.

Bare Butt Jeans

Yes, you read that header right. If clear-knee jeans somehow weren’t too much for you, this is certain to leave you shaking your head.

Clothes are designed to cover our bodies and protect us from the elements, so why the heck would you want to leave one of the most vulnerable parts of your body…well, vulnerable?

From the front, you’ll see a normal, albeit patchy-looking pair of jeans.

From the back, you’ll see a series of zippers leading up to the beltline allowing wearers to expose or cover their derrieres at a moment’s notice.

It gets weirder if you can believe it.

You may think these franken-jeans are the product of some third-party manufacturer you’ve never heard of. Nope, they’re a collaboration between Vetements and Levis, two leading brands in fashion.
