Sometimes users taking charge of their computer maintenance is a good thing; other times, it definitely is not. One user tried to clean their keyboard with compressed air, but got it confused with a can of WD-40. Their response: “It’s so oily!”

“Why Won’t My Mouse Work?”

A help desk received an angry call from a customer saying their mouse wasn’t working. They grabbed a fresh mouse and headed down to the person’s desk, only for the user to say, “And this annoying red light keeps shining in my eyes!” The IT person flipped the mouse right-side up, and another disaster was averted.
