15 Weird Websites You Never Knew Existed

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

There are almost 2 billion active websites up right now. And that number continues to climb each second.

It’s no wonder that there exist a bunch of weird websites out there that are great boredom busters.

Here is a list of 15 websites to go on when bored that you never knew you needed in your life.

1. Pointerpointer.com

Are you bored out of your mind? The people who visit pointerpointer must be.

It’s easy to use. Once you go to the URL you drag your mouse cursor anywhere on the screen. It takes a second and then the site loads a picture of someone pointing at your cursor.

The photos range from a rock singer on stage pointing into the crowd to a person on vacation pointing to a historical artifact.

The accuracy of the point compared to your mouse pointer is pretty decent. It kind of makes you wonder at who created the site and why they aren’t out there making millions with their mental mindpowers (or maybe they are).

This site is completely useless but is a great boredom buster. You won’t be able to stop without trying each cardinal direction of your screen. Try it out, you’ll see.

2. You’re Getting Old

Oh, there’s nothing quite like knowing random facts to be whipped out in conversation. You’re Getting Old will tell you how many birthday candles you’ve blown out, how many breaths you’ve taken and much more.

The site lists milestone events that happened when you were an infant, a child, and a teenager. You will certainly feel old reading those.

While this site is depressing, it’s also completely one of those websites to go on when bored that we bet you will tell your friends about.

3. Scream into the Void

You already know that the internet is a place where people can unleash their mean and nasty comments like torpedos. You might have been at the brunt of one of these hulk tantrums in the past.

to combat the hate online, comedian and late-night talk show host, John Oliver created Scream into the Void. This website lets you type out whatever angry frustration you have and watch it fall into a void.

This is a totally safe way to let go of your anger. In fact, feel free to use at work about the coworker that is driving you berserk. Do it even if they sit next to your desk, it’s very satisfying.

4. Fallingfalling

Have you ever had that dream where you are falling and falling forever? Well, now you can experience that constant falling sensation any time you like on the random site, fallingfalling.com

Make sure you turn the sound up so you can experience to auditory accompaniment to freefalling. It’s hypnotic and might just be a cure for insomnia. Give it a try!

5. NSA-o-matic

The National Security Agency has been making headlines in conspiracy theorist websites for years. The NSAomatic website randomly gives you a headline that is inspired by the NSA. Whether there is any truth to these headlines, we’ll leave up to your judgment.

If you love encrypted telephone calls and SMS messages, you’ll get a kick out of this site on the weird web.

6. Ruin My Search History

The name is no joke. This site will actually ruin your search history.

Once you click go, Google will search for funny and outlandish things on your computer. From why are my toes uneven to why doesn’t my poo float. You won’t really get a chance to see the search results before it moves on to the next search but we promise you’ll have a few giggles.

If you cancel your search early, you’ll get a nasty insult. This is one of those funny websites to visit that keeps being funny later on. We’re eager to see the targeted ads we’ll get in the coming days.

We suggest trying this on your friend’s laptop!

7. Map Crunch

Have you ever gone on Google maps street view and looked at a place you’d love to live? Don’t lie, you have.

Well, now you can experience the whole globe from the comfort of your computer. No passport needed.

Map Crunch will show you random street view from different places all over the world. It’s enlightening to see streets from Saudi Arabia and Guatemala.

Just like the regular street view, you can move along the street and swivel to see other angles.

You’ll see the price of petrol all over the world, various road signs and how people live. Though it is a time waster, it is also informative and interesting. We dare say it’s an experiment in world geography and culture.

8. People of Walmart

We know you’ve seen posts on social media about the bizarre things you see in Walmart. From people in hospital gowns dragging an IV cart to people wearing laugh-out-loud clothing.

Well, instead of scrolling through Facebook, you can now access all the glorious, mindboggling fun on a dedicated website to people of Walmart.

Be warned, you might not want to do this at work. Some images may haunt you. The best part is the captions that go with the photos.

9. Awkward Family Photos

Everyone loves the segment on the Ellen Degeneres show where she shows bad photos. Get more of that on awkward family photos website.

Make sure you click over to the hall of fame for the top awkward photos. Some are so bad you wonder what would possess someone to willingly upload them. Then again maybe it was their brother.

Check out our collection of weird pictures for even more fun.

10. Sell me Something Weird or Confusing

The Weird or Confusing website will send you to an eBay or Amazon page that is selling something weird or confusing.

In our test to write this post, we were directed to an inflatable unicorn horn for a cat, and a set of glasses attached to a ball and bucket game. Just to give you an idea of the things that are out there for sale.

Far more interesting than the products is the product ratings and how many people are “watching” the item.

11. Paper Toilet

The papertoilet website lets you enjoy what toddlers and cats have long known to be a lot of fun: unrolling a roll of toilet paper.

We have to admit that the graphics are superb. It’s fun with a computer mouse but even better on a touchscreen device.

Maybe bring your cell into the bathroom with you and play on your phone while you use the facilities.

What happens when you reach the end of the roll? Roll and find out.

12. My Animal Weight

Here’s another of those random websites that are great for trivia lovers. My animal weight tells you how many ants you weigh. Or how many boa constrictors.

Simply input your weight and choose your animal. T-rex and markhor are also on the list if you want something a little less conventional than a golden retriever.

Maybe it won’t motivate you to lose those extra few pounds, but it might.

13. Gravity Points

Are you into science? Gravity Points is one of the best websites to go on when bored. This cool site lets you place a gravity point anywhere on the screen.

You’ll then enjoy seeing how particles interact and are affected by the gravity. It’s educational and fun. You can even add or remove particles. Add a few gravity points and see what happens.

If anyone asks, you’re conducting an important science experiment.

14. Texter

If you’ve ever wished you could create art with words or words into art, we’ve found the perfect random site for you. Texter is a javascript experiment that lets you explore your creativity by drawing with words.

It’s very zen and peaceful and makes bad days better. You’ll love swooshing your mouse around to make different sized words.

Make your art and take a screenshot (you’ll definitely want to keep this art). Then hit refresh and do it again.

The only downside is the limited number of words available. As much as we love Alice in Wonderland, some more random words would make this site even better.

Spend 5 minutes or 50 creating word art, we know you can.

15. The Useless Web

Last but certainly not least is the useless web. It will make you another random site. If this list of 15 sites is not enough, the useless web will give you plenty more.

You might be redirected to a site called tiny tuba. There you will see a tiny tuba playing a song. Yup.

Or maybe you will find yourself on cordog.io where tiny corndogs float along the screen doing absolutely nothing. It would make a good screensaver to be honest.

Bottom Line on Weird Websites

The world wide web has no shortage of weird websites. Some are interesting and fun and some do absolutely nothing.

We hope you enjoyed reading and testing the random sites on this post.
