Unbelievable Discovery: 40,000-Year-Old Mammoth Intact Skeleton Found On Texas Farm (Video And Photos)
(N.Morgan) Wayne McEwen made a remarkable discovery on his Texas farm, a 40,000 year old Mammoth skeleton, buried in the ground. McEwen and his family were gathering material from a gravel pit on their property, south of Dallas, when his son struck a 6 foot (1.8 meter) tusk while operating an excavator. The rest of the near complete skeleton was unearthed by a team from a nearby community college, who determined it was a Columbian mammoth a slightly larger, less hairy version of the more famous woolly mammoth. The family decided to donate the remains to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas. Ron Tykoski, a paleontologist with the museum who is working with a team to prepare the specimen for transport, said the remains are missing a few leg bones but are mostly intact.
“We get a lot of mammoth fossils in Texas but it’s usually a tooth here, a tusk there or a piece of jaw,” Tykoski said on Tuesday. “This is unusual. It looks like it just laid down and died.” There is no sign the carcass was disturbed by scavengers, likely because flood waters covered it with silt shortly after its death, he said. The mammoth is believed to be a female because of its small size, the length of the tusks and the flare of the pelvic bones. The animal was approximately 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall at the shoulder, or similar in size to a modern day female Asian elephant.
“It needed to stay in North Texas where the local communities can enjoy it for a long time to come,” McEwen said in a news release.

There is No way it is that old. From the pictures it is what a foot deep. I think america you been fooled again.
@retiredpatriot It appears to be at least 6 feet below the surface of the ground level , I don’t know what that means in regards to the age of this creature . Maybe you know since your comment was so definitive .
Also it was found in “a gravel pit”. A pit is “a large hole in the ground”.
Interesting, that like every fossil specimen ever found, flood waters covered it with silt immediately after its death. Indeed, these flood waters covered the entire earth with a layer of silt one and a half miles deep, on average.
Were these silts originally derived from the underlying bedrock by riverine erosion, then subsequent floods would mix the sediments together thoroughly and distribute them promiscuously around the earth; however, what we see are deep and clearly stratified layers of sediment, and no erosion of underlying layers by fluid run-off from subsequent layers. The best explanation therefore must be that there was one global cataclysmic Flood, whose various and different sediments were derived from the subterranean fluid-filled vault about which we are told in Genesis, and also in 2 Peter 3 verse 5, and again in 1 Samuel where we read, “For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He hath set the world upon them”.
Remember that Genesis speaks about the firmament being placed between two bodies of water; ie a superior layer, comprising the oceans, and an inferior layer, beneath the earth, as has been confirmed by modern geological analysis. This latter layer has been detected at depths of ten miles beneath the crust; this layer therefore provided “the fountains of the deep” about which we are informed in the Bible.
It emerged from the depths via the split in earth’s crust which is still seen today as the mid-ocean ridges, which run for 49,000 miles down the centre of the earth’s oceans.
It is the dirty little secret of carbon dating that labs will rarely if ever ascribe a date to a particular specimen unless they are first told something about it. They then select a date which fits in with prevailing evolutionary theory. The actual date scatterings they come up with are not calculated to inspire any confidence in their methodologies.
Every single carboniferous sample ever tested has significant amounts of C14 in it. C14 has a half-life of 6000 years; thus the oil and coal and fossils recovered are never the ages given by these labs; all are recent, and the earth is therefore scientifically shown by genuine science to be extremely young.
