Recapping the 145th Kentucky Derby, the 144th Preakness Stakes and Project San Fran 811

We had two very unusual horse races so far this year during Triple Crown season. First off at the 145th Kentucky Derby and just this past weekend with the running of the 144th Preakness in Baltimore. The Kentucky Derby ended in confusion and exceitement when the winning horse ‘Maximum security’ was disqualified for running out of his lane and cutting off two horses and the race was given to the second place finisher ‘Country House’ and his jockey wearing the Number 20 and dressed in bumble bee colors. Then at this past weekends Preakness Stakes a horse named Bodexpress kicked his jockey (John Velazquez) off the horse at the start of the race and ran the entire race without his rider. The strangeness did not end there as the winner of the race was a horse named ‘War of Will’ and he was one of the two horses that the disqualified horse at the Kentucky Derby – Maximum Security – cutoff. How ironic that he comes back to win The Preakness. Just as with the jockey (Flaviaen Prat) at the Kentucky Derby showing us the ’200,00 Bees from Notre Dame Cathedral symbolism’ by wearing his black and yellow Bumble Bee colors I caught my ’811′ symbolism with wearing his sponsors ball cap. Next up… The Belmont Stakes.
