After two false starts, my husband and I finally got out of town! Our week-long camping & kayaking trip had turned into a long weekend in a small Airbnb apartment, but it ended up being a wonderful getaway. We stayed on Main Street in Great Barrington, a beautiful town in the Berkshires in western Massachusetts, with lots of great restaurants and TWO bookstores! I’ll post separately about the food and bookstores.
The highlight of our weekend was 3 wonderful hikes. The Berkshires are filled with mountains, lakes, ponds, rivers, and waterfalls – there are a LOT of hikes to choose from, through some gorgeous areas. Here are some highlights:
