Before this revelation, I had the highest respect for this man, Joel Osteen.  Well, apparently, you cannot trust anyone anymore.  Joel Osteen is just another in a long line of fallen televangelists such as Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, Oral Roberts, Ted Haggard et al.  If Osteen’s beautiful wife, Victoria, is not in on this sham and scam, she should be constantly chewing him out for destroying their successful venture.  It was only a few months ago, upon watching his television commercials, I said that here is an honest man who does not do the things that the typical televangelists do.  Well, I was wrong.  The only one to maintain his integrity throughout his life is Billy Graham.  His son, Franklin, follows his footsteps.  Go, Franklin!

The only way I have personally found to remain clean is never to take any money or pay whatsoever for all of your volunteer activities—particularly religious and church activities.  I served as the pastor of two different congregations for a total of over 10 years but did not take a salary.  I had a job and lived on that salary with a family of five people.  In fact, I paid to the church approximately 15% of my income.  I continue to live hand-to-mouth even today.  I believe that is how Jesus did it.

Serving in Congress should also be an unpaid, community service activity.  That way, we would not have so many liars, cheaters, crooks, sex perverts, drunks, drug addicts, killers, and power-hungry career politicians in the Congress.  Sounds like a good idea?  Remember, the love of money is the root of evil.  To find out how a politician gets to be a multimillionaire in a few short years, just follow the money trail.  You will find graft, bribery, kickbacks, and shady deals.
