Hello! I'm Kira, and this is my food blog: Cook, Pray, Love. In the summer of 2008, I married Joe, and we moved from Houston, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee. I also learned to cook. You see, Houston made me a foodie, but here in Nashville, going out to eat was more expensive than we were used to. I had also lost 20 lbs the year before our wedding and wanted to keep that weight off. So I taught myself to cook mostly using the internet and cookbooks. Growing up, my parents didn't cook very often, but it turned out that I had a bit of a knack for it. I started this blog to keep track of what I was making.
