Watch Out for Scam PACs

With the midterm elections just weeks away, many Americans are looking for ways to help elect candidates who share their values.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of scam artists who solicit money in the name of helping candidates, but do nothing to help those candidates. Instead, they keep the money and defraud thousands of well-intentioned donors.

There are three common characteristics of these scam PACs:

1. They spend very little or no money helping candidates
2. They don’t allow donors to donate directly to the candidates
3. The candidates they claim to support didn’t ask for their support

These “scam PACs” hurt the conservative movement’s ability to effectively use its limited resources to win campaigns.

Fortunately, there’s a better way.
