Alex Mooney Wins West Virginia House Race

Alexandria, VA — Senate Conservatives Fund President Ken Cuccinelli, made the following statement after conservative Alex Mooney was declared the winner of the race for West Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District:

“We were proud to be one of the first national conservative groups to support Alex Mooney and we’re proud of his win tonight. Alex won this race because the grassroots in West Virginia know he will fight for their values in Washington, D.C. Alex Mooney is a principled leader who will defend our Constitution and stand up to the big spenders in both parties.”

SCF invested $275,000 supporting Alex Mooney in this race – raising $114,000 in direct contributions for the Mooney campaign and spending $161,000 on independent expenditures, including two radio ads.
