Fukushima To Radiate W. Co. Beaches In 4 Months

Fukushima nuclear power plant has been spewing three hundred tons of radioactive material into the ocean and its seafood daily for over two and a half years. That radioactive material, including plutonium, is due to hit America’s West Coast in March, ABC Los Angeles reports. Americans are consuming Pacific Ocean seafood that is not monitored adequately, according to another expert.

This week, international wires have buzzed with the Japanese government revealing knowledge of a disaster far worse than imagined: 300 tons of contaminated water surging into the Pacific Ocean every day for over two and a half years since the tsunami broke land. 

Nuclear Engineer Dr. Arjun Makhijani, president of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research, confirmed that ocean currents are carrying the radioactive water to the West Coast.

“There are several hundred tons of radioactive water that are pouring into the ocean at the site every day,” Makhijani said.

A study published in the Journal Deep Sea Research 1 reports that radiactive water will begin arriving in March.

According to Makhijani, Fukushima radiation will be diluted; levels found on the West Coast are still very low and not dangerous; but eating seafood from the Pacific is already risky, especially for children and people with existing health conditions.

With over two years of Fukushima lies, a corporate-government conspiratorial cover-up of lethality of the Fukushima catastrophe, ABC News asks whether we really will know just how dangerous this event will be in March.

“I think we should be doing a better monitoring of food. I don’t think the EPA and FDA are doing a good enough job,” Makhijani said.

Susie Taylor for Ms. Magazine, says that when news (finally) hit conventional media this week about the Fukushima cover-up, she happened to be there on the scene taking photos.

“I replied with a speechless stare and returned to what I was doing,” Taylor said.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s administration “negligently concealed information concerning the fallout of Fukushima, while continuing to endanger millions of lives as strontium-90, cesium-137 and radioiodine I-131 wreak havoc in the world’s oceans,” Ms. Magazine reported.

“Standing in the midst of Fukushima’s fallout on that hot day in July, I had a visceral sense of the trouble at hand,” Taylor recounted. “Though assigned to produce a video for TIME with my partner, I couldn’t focus on work. Tears surfaced as I thought of the deserted towns we passed… 

“Then I looked out to sea. Somewhere beneath the shoreline, lethal radioactive water was gushing outward…”

The “unspeakable reality,” one Australian national news reporter has stated, is that “Fukushima is radiating everyone.“

The Fukushima coverup is an unprecedented global human rights violation in its magnitude.

Earlier this week, reminiscent of the late Matt Simmons’ warning after BP wrecked the Gulf Coast, environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki warned that if Fukushima’s crippled #4 reactor goes, the entire West Coast would beed to be evacuated. (See: YouTube video coverage below.)

Simmons had just publicly stated about the BP-wrecked Macondo Well’s environmental and human devastation that the “entire Gulf Coast should be evacuated” and “the human death toll will be high.” That was only days before his untimely death from a heart attack while relaxing in his hot tub. [See video trailer of Vampire of Macondo here.]

“If the fourth [reactor] goes under an earthquake and those rods are exposed, then it’s bye-bye, Japan and everybody on the west coast of North America should be evacuated,” Suzuki said. “And if that isn’t terrifying, I don’t know what is.”

Despite BP’s oil, Corexit and radiation contamination along the Gulf, throughout homes, water, seafood, rain and air there, a Gulf Coast evacuation never occurred. An untold thousands, some say millions, of people there are subsequently sick, dying or dead.
