NHS ‘already privatised’ – ‘hospitals need to close': private NHS consultants

(not satire – it’s the NHS today!)

Contrary to what the Lib Dem/Tory government have been assuring us, the NHS has already been privatised.

But don’t just take my word for it.

MBI Health Group – no bitter lefties like me but a private healthcare management consultancy used by Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust amongst others –  thinks so too.

The comments were made on the NHS’s 65th birthday last year and can still be seen here on the company’s own website.

In the same comments, MBI also seems to be advising its NHS clients that many NHS hospitals “are unsustainable and need to close”.

Shocking stuff.

Still, for a company working in such a diverse environment as the NHS, MBI doesn’t exactly represent a wide cross section of professional opinion in the healthcare sector.

After all, MBI’s 10-man management team is exactly that.
