Next Green Wave rises as CBD pet product with Instagram star Loki the Wolfdog introduced

Next Green Wave Holdings Inc (CSE:NGW) (OTCMKTS:NXGWF) shares rose Thursday after the cannabis company announced the launch of Loki Love Biscuits, its first pet product.

The Vancouver-based company enlisted the help of Instagram celebrity Loki the Wolfdog as a brand partner, selling the new products through the Loki Naturals website and tapping into the very good boy’s 2 million followers.

Next Green Wave shares were up 4.8% to C$0.65 in Canada’s early-afternoon trading. They climbed 4.8% to US$0.49 in the US.

“We are excited to be launching our first CBD pet product through our brand partner, Loki the Wolfdog,” Next Green Wave CEO Leigh Hughes said in a statement. “Loki has millions of loyal global social media followers, along with the type of exposure that can help us deliver our line of premium pet treats to the target market and enable us to immediately move into revenue operations.”

The move into CBD pet products is Next Green Wave’s first initiative to bring 45 products to market through its recent acquisition of SD Cannabis, a California-based, consumer-products goods company.

Loki’s “dad,” Kelly Lund, expressed excitement about the new pet products.

“Coming from a place where CBD has truly changed our lives and the lives of our dogs who mean the world to us, we could not be more excited for the launch of Loki Naturals,” he said.
