Codebase Ventures subsidiary Pressland forms commercial partnership with payment product company OutVoice

Codebase Ventures Inc (CSE:CODE) (OTCMKTS:BKLLF) announced Monday that its media subsidiary, Pressland, is forging a commercial partnership with San Francisco’s OutVoice to consult on products that cut down on inefficiencies and drive client engagement in the rapidly evolving media-tech space.

OutVoice makes it dead simple for editors to pay freelancers. For starters, it helps onboard freelancers by automatically presenting them with the forms and contracts they need to fill out. Then it integrates with WordPress and other content management systems, so that when an editor is publishing a story, he can select a contributor and a payment amount on the same screen. Once the editor hits publish, the freelancer gets paid — no invoice needed, no delays. The service reduces the invoicing process to a single click. Payments are handled by OutVoice’s proprietary enterprise platform.

Meanwhile, Pressland uses artificial intelligence tools and natural language processing to analyze around-the-clock global news output and publish comprehensive, dynamic production data that can be used to identify misinformation before it spreads online.

The company said the partnership will “help accelerate” Pressland’s time-to-market for its software as a service (SaaS) offerings.

“It’s not often that someone solves a longstanding pain point in media production, but that’s precisely what OutVoice has done,” said Codebase Chief Strategy Officer Jeff Koyen. “OutVoice has the potential to become a global leader in the media technology space, and Pressland is thrilled to call them a partner at this early stage.”

Codebase will use OutVoice payment product

As part of the deal, Codebase Ventures will use OutVoice to pay contributors to its wholly-owned subsidiaries ICO Ranker and Blockchain Ranker.

OutVoice was founded in 2018 by Matt Saincome, founder of the punk-themed satirical news site The Hard Times. His work has been featured in Forbes, Billboard, LA Times and other major news outlets.

“Jeff and Pressland intimately understand the problem OutVoice is looking to solve,” Saincome said. “I look forward to sharing resources and expertise as we develop tools that reduce inefficiencies and optimize the media production process.”

Pressland is helmed by Codebase’s Koven, a media industry executive with an entrepreneurial background.

Codebase Ventures invests in early-stage technology opportunities that offer big returns. The company is based in Brooklyn, but team members are based globally from Belgrade to Vancouver.
