Universal mCloud inks AssetCare™ pact with Hubei Huayan Zhidian to sell smart-building tech in China

Universal mCloud Corp (CVE:MCLD) (OTCQB:MCLDF) announced Thursday that it has inked an AssetCare™ agreement with Hubei Huayan Zhidian Technology Company Ltd to deliver smart-building technology in China. 

Headquartered in Vancouver, Universal mCloud uses artificial intelligence and analytics to curb energy waste, maximize energy production and improve energy infrastructure.

The partnership can potentially drive major energy savings for smart buildings in 1,200 townships in China’s Hubei province.

“Hubei province covers a territory of over 58.5 million people and more than 185,000 square kilometers, making this agreement with Hubei Huayan a tremendous step forward in mCloud’s ability to access the captive commercial buildings market in China,” said Costantino Lanza, chief growth officer at Universal mCloud.

Huayan is a leader in smart platform development in China and is the first enterprise in Hubei province to offer comprehensive IoT product solutions. The company provides services to commercial buildings, offices, hospitals, and schools and is looking to differentiate its smart building capabilities through mCloud’s AI-driven AssetCare offering.

“Bringing AssetCare together with Hubei Huayan’s local knowledge gives both mCloud and Hubei Huayan a unique first-mover advantage in using AI and analytics to save energy in China,” said Lanza.

China push

Universal mCloud is making a big push into China and earlier secured a big energy saving deal with the Heiwado Shopping Center in Changsha, in the Hunan province.  The company aims to reduce energy consumption across major Chinese urban centres through the targeted implementation its AssetCare solution.
