Holiday Snacking Made Simple with Softer Than Brittle #Partner #HGG

It’s that time of year, everyone! The Holiday shopping season is upon us! (At least it is if you’re like me and get an early start to avoid the mad rush of frazzled, last-minute shoppers in late December!)

Today, I want to talk about FOOD! 

The holidays may be time for giving, but they’re also time for munching. That’s actually my favorite part! One of my favorite things to both snack on and cook with is Softer Than Brittle, This “better-for-you-brittle” contains no preservatives, cholesterol, dairy, or hydrogenated oil and is even vegan.

Softer Than Brittle comes in 4 flavors: Peanut, Cashew, Pecan and Almond. Each of these are sweet, nutty, and delicious. We’ve been snacking on these alone, and Sophie likes crumbling them up and adding them to her morning oatmeal for some added texture, crunch, and flavor. 

Would I call them “soft”, though? 

No. Not exactly. 

Some pieces were flaky, but there were quite a few harder, more brittle like pieces as well. We definitely still enjoyed every last piece, but I felt I should clarify that these are not soft confections. I would still classify them as “brittles”, but perhaps a bit less hard, and with some flakiness worked in for good measure. 

Still a total winner in our book, and we look forward to seeing how we can utilize Softer Than Brittle in our upcoming Holiday baking. Maybe we’ll add chunks to cookies or brownies, or perhaps it could be a crumbled topping .for our figgy pudding. The possibilities are endless! ​
