This Summer, Please Remember That Sunscreen And Gospel Tracts Can Prevent People From Burning

A good sunscreen will prevent your skin from burning in the hot summer sun, but receiving Jesus Christ as your Saviour will prevent your soul from burning for all eternity in the fiery pits of Hell.

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:23,24 (KJV)

They hadn’t yet invented sunscreen in the day of the rich man and Lazarus, but the gospel was being preached. God created street preaching as the means by which people would have the opportunity get right or remain lost, but either way, they had control over their own eternal destiny.

“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.” 1 Corinthians 1:21 (KJV)

What an incredible honor and privilege it is to be the human means by which God can reach a lost person the good news of the gospel of the grace of God, either by preaching, witnessing and handing out gospel tracts. Maybe you’re not called to be a preacher and are too shy to engage people on the street, but certainly you can do this:

See the gospel tract discreetly tucked into the bottom right corner of the ad display sign on top of  this gas station pump? I placed it there when I got gas last week, and guess what? People actually do take them and read the gospel message that’s on the back. This will work at not just the gas station, but nearly every place you stop during your daily errands and running around there will be an opportunity to leave a gospel tract behind you. It really is that easy.
