Archaeologists Have Discovered The Entrance Gate To The Biblical City Of Zer, Also Known As Bethsaida
How exciting is the news coming out of Israel today that yet another ancient city mentioned in the Bible has been found! Since NTEB was started back in 2009, dozens of such discoveries have been made, giving further proof that every word of your King James Bible is indeed true and trustworthy. This lies in stark contrast to all those cities mentioned in the book of Mormon that have never been uncovered, or ever will. But when your religion is based on a ‘magic stone‘ what do you really expect, anyway?
FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: In recent days, and after a year of recess, a group of 20 archaeologists from all over the world, together with director of the Bethsaida Project, Dr. Rami Arav, and under the auspices of the Hebrew Union College, Jerusalem, conducted new excavations in two different areas of Bethsaida. The ancient fishing village is mentioned several times in the New Testament as a city where Jesus lived and where he miraculously fed a multitude of people with five loaves and two fish.
“And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,” Joshua 19:35 (KJV)
Archaeologists said the size, wealth and impressive fortifications indicate that Zer was a major city. “There are not many gates in this country from this period. Bethsaida was the name of the city during the Second Temple period, but during the First Temple period it was the city of Zer,” Arav said, pointing to Joshua 19:35, which says: “The fortified towns were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth.”
“The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.” John 12:21 (KJV)
Arav began carrying out excavations of et-Tell on behalf of the University of Nebraska nearly 30 years ago. In these excavations, he identified the ancient Bethsaida, and following his excavations and discoveries, masses of Christian pilgrims visited the site because of its great importance to Christianity.

Over the years, excavators have discovered in Bethsaida many remains from various periods. The excavations are conducted in the Jordan Park area, northeast of the Sea of Galilee.
Avi Lieberman, director of the Jordan Park in which Bethsaida is located said: “The staff at the Jordan Park and the Golan Tourism are happy for the tens of thousands of visitors who visit the park every day. The wonderful park is also an impressive archaeological site. I amazed each time by the arrival of thousands of evangelical visitors to Bethsaida. I am confident that the latest discoveries will bring more visitors to the park from around the world and from Israel.”
Another finding made in the past two weeks was discovered underneath what was seemingly the floor of a Roman temple built by Herod’s son Philip, which he dedicated to Julia, the daughter of Augustus.
There archaeologists found coins, beads, jugs and house keys as well as a shield that belonged to a Roman soldier. The most significant finding was a coin dated to 35 BC, which was minted in Acre on the occasion of the arrival of Cleopatra and Marc Antony. There is a total of 12 of these coins.
Over the years various findings made in the area have made waves in the world of archaeology. Several years ago, a gold coin bearing the portrait of Roman Emperor Antoninus Pius, who reigned from 138 to 161 AD, was discovered by an excavator working with Arav. source

every word in any bible can’t be true,. their translations of translations and people interject their own thoughts, beliefs, prejudices, preconceived notions and opinions into their writings and translations
Yet you have morons like Andy and plsnogod who come on here talking about how the Bible is a fairy tale yet that fairy tale has proven itself true over and over. They couldnt see the truth if it smacked them upside the head everyday.

That’s so very true, and this the nature of spiritual blindness in the unregenerate, the unrepentant: it’s supernaturally beyond mere stupidity. It was also the thought that came to me, so loudly spoken to in the situation of the rich man in hell of Luke 16, below, v31 so true. The situation has absolutely nothing to do with any lack of proof. They’re just deceiving themselves, because they prefer darkness, this rooted in a hatred of Holy God.
Just by proving that a city in the Bible was there does not mean the Bible is true!
That’s true, that a city exists proof of nothing. On the other hand, fulfilled prophecy does PROVE the Bible is true, or that is, in the very least, contains the work of a supernatural Being that is omniscient, period. No way around this. This cannot be denied. There are around 500 already fulfilled and many very detailed future prophesies, right in the Bible record. Personally, to say the Creator of the universe is incapable of providing an accurate book is, I believe, quite stupid, that the Lord can create the entire vast universe and all life, but is, what, illiterate? The Word of God challenged as to words?
Here is what God said as to this matter of only He knowing the future and proving so:
Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.

This also proves what your problem is, that, in fact, your unbelief is actually based upon your rejection of God and preferring the lie, to believe what you want to believe, and this will be to your eternal damnation. Also, until you repent and receive the Lord Jesus in faith, you will remain a spiritually blind and dead person, saying such foolish things, because, when the proof is right under your nose, you still will not believe.
It’s all in the Bible, your problem spelled-out, your fate spelled-out, just like the rich man who refused to believe, until he found himself in hell, notice the reply to him, when he said he needed to warn his relatives:

Jesus Christ did many, many miracles, and rose from the dead, the eyewitness accounts many and credible witnesses, that would be accepted in any court of law, totally credible witnesses lined-up around the block. I, in fact, really KNOW God, have even, myself, seen things that would blow your mind. You cannot be persuaded, will be blind to even proof, because you prefer the lie, prefer the sinful world and ways of the devil, the arrogance of the foolish and temporary creature to the wisdom of the eternal Creator. It doesn’t matter there is proof, which you’ve just been given. You may as well be begging to suffer the fate of the foolish, foolish rich man, who found himself in hell. Failing to repent of your evil and rejecting Jesus Christ, God, is the ultimate human stupidity, nothing else even comes close. I can’t think of what could be greater losers, than those who find themselves in eternal hell, for loving a few years of arrogant sin and unbelief. And you guys spouting your rejection of truth, in the likes of comments sections, are the lowest of the losers, the devil’s cheap dates, as if selling your souls to make some cheap comments against truth, may as well be waving Satan’s flag who, in fact, simply despises you and wants you damned. You’re the cheering section for your own destroyer, the joke so on you that will not end in your laughing, anyway.
Spiritual blindness really is so very tragic and sad, simply beyond stupid, hard to explain, but, until you repent, humble yourself before the Lord Jesus, seek eyes that see and ears that hear, that only God can give, you will remain arrogant against God, blind and spiritually dead in your unbelief, and damned, as a result. You’re just a dead man walking.
