Looks like the Gulf Stream Current is edging up a bit on Surface Currents

This active current map is a display of 120 hours of the forcast of what the surface current may do as to past current and it has looks to have been improving with horns in and out reaching further then before. Notice the reach of the current trying to get into the Gulf waters as well as the waters leaving. But these are surface and we need deep currents also.

You can set it to loop or single run play.. Give it time to load in your browser and watch the currents move the surface waters.

Now there are only slow movements of eddies moving the waters in circular motions and beyond and has been this way for some time. The Gulf needs fresh cool waters. The Gulf Stream will move 400,000 cubic feet of water per second and moves at 4 to 6 MPH.

We hope the flow will pick up and be as before. Or the last link here may be in line.

You may want to put this in your favorites for reference because it will be a good day if and when this current go’s back to flooding the Gulf with cool waters from the winter in South America. As of now there is little no bottom flow in the Gulf and it makes for an unpleasant stew. A good flow would also flush out the Gulf and help the waters there to recover more quickly. But that would also mean that the contaminates there would also begin to be flushed out and enter into other places along the Gulf Stream flow and that may reek more havoc on other areas at a faster pace but it would bring this to a conclusion faster what ever the results of the toxic brew that is in the Gulf.
