Reasons Why Turmeric May Be the World's Most Important Herb (Video)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

(N.Morgan) Medicinal herbs, such as Turmeric, promote healing and have been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese, Indian and Ayurvedic medicine.

Turmeric is widely used in Indian cuisine and is responsible for the yellow color of curries. Research shows that elderly villagers in India, who consume turmeric daily, have some of the lowest rates of Alzheimer’s disease.

A member of the ginger family, brightly colored turmeric was first cultivated in the Himalayan region as early as 3000 B.C.

In addition to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric has a low glycemic index, which means it won’t spike your blood sugar.

It contains health benefiting essential fatty acids, healthy levels of vitamin B6, choline, niacin, riboflavin, vitamin C, and good amounts of minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, manganese, copper, zinc and magnesium.

With all of its phenomenal health benefits, Turmeric is undoubtedly a wonder herb in the natural remedies category.

Instead of causing more side effects than therapeutic ones – Turmeric has several hundred potential side benefits.

While no food or herb is right for everyone, and everything has the potential for unintended, adverse side effects, turmeric is truly unique in its exceptionally high margin of safety verses the drugs it has been compared with, e.g. hydrocortisone, ibuprofen, chemotherapy agents.

Moreover, nothing within the modern-day pharmaceutical armamentarium comes even remotely close to turmeric’s 6,000 year track record of safe use in Ayurvedic medicine.

Despite its vast potential for alleviating human suffering, turmeric will never receive the FDA stamp of approval, due to its lack of exclusivity, patentability and therefore profitability.

Truth be told, the FDA’s “gold standard” for proving the value of a prospective medicinal substance betrays the age old aphorism: “he who owns the gold makes the rules,” and unless an investor is willing to risk losing the 800+ million dollars that must be spent upfront, the FDA-required multi-phased double-blind, randomized clinical trials will not occur.

These amazing benefits include:

Destroying Multi-Drug Resistant Cancer

Destroying Cancer Stem Cells (arguably, the root of all cancer)

Protecting Against Radiation-Induced Damage

Reducing Unhealthy Levels of Inflammation

Protecting Against Heavy Metal Toxicity

Preventing and Reversing Alzheimer’s Disease Associated Pathologies

What is so amazing is not that turmeric may have value in six conditions simultaneously or that it may improve conditions that are completely resistant to conventional treatment, but that there are over five-hundred and eighty additional health conditions it may also be valuable in preventing and/or treating.

Consider also the fact that turmeric grows freely on the Earth, and you will understand why its very existence threatens a trillion-dollar plus conventional medical establishment.

The video below explains the many health benefits Turmeric possesses.

One is not supposed to simmer turmeric and water. This will kill nutrients. It is a deceiving means of preparation.
Turmeric is meant to be mixed with a bit of black pepper for the aim of allowing its assimilation by the body. Otherwise turmeric is going to be eliminating by the system with no benefits to your health. So, to half a tea spoon of turmeric powder, add a tip of a tea spoon of black pepper and half of tea spoon of organic olive oil. Stir them and have them on a sandwich or whatever dish or drink (non-alcoholic one ) one prefers.

So the black pepper isn’t there for the uptake of the nutrients(whatever they are) in tumeric, but is specific to the uptake of tumeric, which isn’t a specific chemical…

      Hello Angle#3(Of-ful Prelim),

Charlie here. I have tried turmeric drink mixing it with filtered water for many weeks and found it did nothing for me and I actually felt worse under it. I was wondering why I felt better one day and realized I had not taken my turmeric drink and that’s when I stopped.

But is turmeric bad? No, but I think it is better in cooked food. I will still use it for that.

      Signed,

Charlie (and no I will not use it on doughnuts)

    • Man
