Detained in Coahuila: “El Pajarraco “ in the Missing 43 Case

                        Juan Miguel N., “El Pajarraco”, had been living in Coahuila for two years

Mexico City:  A “key piece” in the investigation carried out in the case of  forced disappearance in Iguala and the 43 Normalistas of Ayotzinapa , fell yesterday in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, where he had been hiding for 2 years. Federal authorities reported that Juan Miguel “N” , identified as “El Pajarraco” , 30 years old , was arrested near the Cereso Prison. 

In Piedras Negras, local authorities indicated that they had no information about the arrest. In Saltillo, Gerardo Márquez, state attorney general, said he did not know details of this operation.

Unofficial sources indicated that the arrest would have occurred in the Ejido neighborhood, a humble area near the prison in that city.

Who is ”El Pajarraco”?

-130 people at least have been prosecuted for the kidnapping and disappearance of the normalistas, according to the UN.

-34 arrested for allegedly being involved in this case, were tortured to confess, the UN reported.

-4 allegedly involved in this situation, were released in June of this year due to failures of due process.

Juan Miguel , “El Pajarraco”, was read all his rights when detained in accordance with the Mexican ” Cartilla de Derechos Humanos a las Personas” and was transferred to a prison in the state of Durango.
