Tamaulipas: 6 abducted female restaurant workers found murdered, 2 were pregnant

Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas .- The bodies of six women, who last Friday were kidnapped as they were working in a dining room in Ciudad Victoria, were found at the bottom of a ravine with bullets to the head.

Two of the victims were pregnant.

The women were abducted by an armed commando when they were working in a restaurant located at kilometer 10 of the highway that connects the state capital with the city of Tula, known as Rumbo Nuevo.

After receiving the report, the state police, as well as the General Investigation Unit and SEDENA, made a search operation in the area and hours later managed to locate the bodies in a ravine whose depth is greater than 300 feet.

Because the police did not have a rescue team, they proceeded to request support from the relief corps who with rappel equipment proceeded to remove the corpses one by one.

All the women had a bullet in the head, called “the coup de grace”, and it is believed that once they were shot they were thrown into the ravine.

Forensic experts collected six 9-millimeter casings in the area and it is presumed that they were used to kill the women.

So far only one of the victims has been identified, Elsa Concepción Turrubiates Huerta, 44 years old.
