Ministerial authorities of Nuevo Leon revealed that the man found executed and bagged, at 3AM Monday morning in San Pedro, is criminal leader of the “Vieja Guardia” originally from Ribereña Zone of Tamaulipas.
It is confirmed it is Rolando López Salinas, alias “El Roly”, between 65 and 70 years old, 15days after he was kidnapped in front of a convenience store on the Avenida San Agustín, in upscale San Pedro, Monterrey.It it was reported that criminals who were in three vehicles intercepted him, forced him into one of the three vehicles and drove off, also taking his vehicle.There were several cameras at the kidnapping site, but authorities have yet to release footage or information.
The remains were identified by relatives at the University Hospital of Monterrey.
In the 90s, López Salinas had survived two previous bullet attacks in Tamaulipas.He is known as an “old boss” in the border city of Miguel Aleman; an “independent trafficker”, who was an important figure in trafficking in the 90s.
The victim, was discovered bagged and with a warning narco message, in a Colonia Fuentes del Valle, San Pedro, Nuevo León parking lot.The message related the crime to the dispute between two groups of the Beltrán Leyva Cartel over the control of San Pedro.
“El Roly” was indicated in the message as an accomplice of Héctor Huerta Ríos, “El HH” or “La Burra”, and Jorge Barrera Lozano, “El Izquierdo”, presumed leaders of the Beltrán Leyva.
The abduction and execution, according to informants, would have been ordered by the group led by Rodolfo Villarreal Hernández, aka “”El Gato”.
It was confirmed that there were signs of torture and bullet wounds.
The body was discovered on Monte Palatino Street, a few meters before its intersection with Morones Prieto Avenue, behind San Pedro Fire Station.
