Police Find Drugs, Guns and Hundreds Of Thousands Of Dollars At "El 8"s Farm

Guadalajara, Jalisco - In a search conducted on the farm of Adrián Alonso Guerrero Covarrubias, El 8, presumed operator of the Jalisco Cartel Nueva Generación (CJNG), elements of the Third Investigative Agency, in coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena ), located drugs, weapons and thousands of dollars.

The inspection began on the afternoon of last Wednesday and ended on Thursday. “El 8″ was captured on Tuesday, the 9th and the next day transferred to the Federal Center for Social Readaptation (Cefereso) of Gómez Palacio, Durango, accused of organized crime and crimes against health. According to the authorities, Guerrero Covarrubias, who was part of the inner circle of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, operated in the highlands of Jalisco and southeast of Guanajuato, where he fought against the territories of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.
