We decided to go ahead and post the story to share the other fotos, although Marro may have been n Mazatlan, these fotos are not from that trip..

Story: José Antonio Yépez, El Marro, leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima cartel, reappeared in photographs that were taken in Mazatlán, Sinaloa a few days ago.

Sources confirmed to MILENIO that the photographs are from the recent holiday period of Semana Santa and Easter. In the images El Marro is observed accompanied by a woman, whose identity is unknown.

Two months have passed since the start of the ‘Golpe de Timón’ operation, the objective of which is the arrest of El Marro, who is designated as leader of an organization dedicated mainly to the theft of fuel. After the Navy entered the community of Santa Rosa de Lima in the municipality of Villagrán, Guanajuato, vehicles and real estates were secured as well as the destruction of explosives. And although there were arrests the leader of the criminal organization was not captured.

Days later, Alfonso Durazo, secretario de Seguridad y Protección, declared that they had located the target and that they were close.

On April 10, in the municipality of Juventino Rosas, a new operation was implemented with the aim of capturing José Antonio Yépez.

According to intelligence reports, the operation was headed by the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, there were no detainees but there was the confiscation of long weapons and cartridges. Also elements of the army were fired upon so a persecution was unleashed, this occurred when the uniformed wanted to enter the communities of El Murciélago and El Jaralillo, there were no injuries.

On April 21, Eliseo ‘N’ El Titi, 23, was arrested. He is also identified as one of the leaders of the same criminal group. After his arrest he was transferred to the Altiplano de Almoloya de Juárez in the State of Mexico. El Titi was linked to organized crime, so he will remain in the federal prison.
