"El Pelon" of CJNG, allegedly responsible for Minatitlán Massacre, arrested

Veracruz, Ver.- Adrián Fernández or Adrián F “El Pelón”, member of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, was apprehended this afternoon by members of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic (FGR) in the municipality of Cosoleacaque. The arrest was made by a special group that traveled from Mexico City, from elements of the SEIDO as well as the AIC and the FGR. Adrián Fernández was an employee of Pemex in Minatitlán, said Carlos Loret de Mola in his column this Friday in El Universal.

According to the FGR, Adrián Fernández was detained by agents of the Federal Ministerial Police without the use of violence or involvement of third parties.
