4 young people shot, 1 dead in Torreón, Coahuila

A shootout put the neighbors of the Nueva Laguna Norte neighborhood on alert Monday night. The balance, three young wounded and one dead.

It was around 10 o’clock in the evening with 10 minutes, when they began to receive calls for help to 911, in which they reported a strong shooting in Juliet Street, close to the corner of Manuel Robles street.

The red code was activated and authorities of the three levels of government gathered at the place, confirming the finding of the 4 injured people.

Paramedics of the Red Cross checked the wounded, detecting that one of them had already lost his life, so the other three (two women and one man) were taken to a hospital to receive medical attention.

Of the deceased, it was said that he was a male of approximately 25 years of age. The wounded are find themselves in serious condition, until now their identity is unknown.

Neighbors, who approached the area, mentioned to the officers that they did not know any of the young people and speculated that they didn’t live in that neighborhood.
