An American citizen, José “N”, 39, alleged member of the Sinaloa Cartel , was arrested in Tijuana, Baja California , after being one of the most wanted criminals by the FBI for several years.

“His capture was achieved with the help of the National Institute of Migration (INM) in the colony Las Palomas de Rosarito “, explained the coordinator of the International Liaison of the State Preventive Police (PEP), Rodolfo Luna Herrera .

The detainee, who is originally from Los Angeles, California, was wanted by foreign authorities “for a couple of years which is why they requested the support of the PEP because they knew he had crossed the border”.

José “N”, transported large amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin from Mexico to the Los Angeles metropolitan area and other US entities.

Luna Herrera explained that according to the FBI investigation “Operation Narconetas”, that the criminal organization used vehicles with hidden compartments to move the narcotics.

He went to patrol Benito Juarez Boulevard and Del Roble Street where they approached the subject that fully coincided with the physical characteristics indicated on the card issued by the FBI authorities, the man was immediately stopped and denied the charges but his identity was corroborated by the Control, Command, Communication and Computing Center (C4).

After several years of investigation they were able to determine that he had crossed the border and resided in Playas de Rosarito, in an exclusive subdivision; located in an address in the Las Palomas neighborhood.

The alleged drug trafficker was made available to the immigration authorities for deportation and to be tried according to the laws of the United States.
