America's Scotoma: We Must Attack Iran Soon

Thomas Joscelyn (2007) wrote and published this book three years ago. In the three years since then, it is obvious that Iran is a state sponsor of al-Qaeda and Hezbollah. Immediately after the 9/11 attack on the United States, former President George W. Bush said that we would go after the responsible terrorist organizations and state sponsors of such organizations. It is a known fact that Iran provides weapons, training, and other support to al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, and other such terrorist organizations. It is unfortunate that Bush never carried through on that assertion to go after the responsible state sponsors of the 9/11 attack. America has a blind spot or scotoma. Our leaders do not see the grave threat over our heads.
Iran has been a major threat to the United States for at least the past three decades. She is only one year away from obtaining an operational nuclear weapon. Israel is in grave danger from that threat. The president of Iran has threatened to destroy Israel off the face of the map. If we do not do anything now, we will need to act later when Iran will be much stronger and bolder. It is always better to be proactive than reactive. A war with Iran is inevitable. If we do not attack Iran now and promulgate a regime change, we will forever be sorry for our inaction.
Unfortunately, we currently have a very weak administration under President Barack Hussein Obama. We must change the Congress on November 2, 2010, and change the Obama administration in November 2012. We are in a position of our enemies attacking and conquering us between now and then. We must not allow that scenario to happen. We must act now to stop the imperialists of Iran. The survival of the United States is at great risk. If we do not act now before Iran and terrorists obtain the atomic bomb, amen to the United States of America. Do not ever say that you “have never been warned.”

If you were to bring this article back in the time machine to 2003, and everywhere you’ve written Iran, you subbed out Iraq, it would fit perfectly. This same tripe- this same drivel, and blatant war-mongering is the exact same BS we were steeped in to start the Iraq war- Those set up to get the profits from that war won’t soon give up that cash cow- not without a replacement war(at ANY COST!). Afghanistan is providing too much herion money to be ended anytime soon (don’t believe me… please, it’s the only way you’ll research anything and figure out the truth- or just chuckle to yourself and enjoy our spiral into the bowl)

I would suggest reading 1984 to see what our country is slowly turning into. Remember when Bin Laden was the most dangerous and feared man alive? What happened? Why was it then Saddam, and now Iran’s prez? You can’t with a straight face tell me that book isn’t just another peice of war pushing propaganda.

Every time anyone says that Israel is our only friend in the Middle East, I can’t help but think that before Israel, we had no enemies in the Middle East

I think any “columnist” who writes an article advocating WAR, and has not served in the military, should be IMMEDIATELY DRAFTED into the INFANTRY.
No, he should show the strength of his conviction and join up. But he knows he is too old to join. He is not really very wise or intelligent, nor can he connect the dots to see the larger picture of Israel influence, war profiteering and heroine production. Fox news might like him.

Facts: I went through 4 years of AFROTC, served for over 8 years of active duty in the USAF, and was honorably discharged as a regular captain. I also worked for over a quarter century in the aerospace and defense industries on defense programs and systems. Even at my age, if they would allow it, I would gladly serve in the war zones. You either fight them now, when it is relatively easy, or you fight them later when it will be a definite nuclear exchange. Truman and Ike did not allow Patton to go after the Russians as he wanted to, which promulgated Stalin killing 23 million people and maintaining almost a half-century of Cold War. Truman did not allow McArthur to go over the Yalu River to attack the Chinese, which caused them to slaughter 30 million people and then put them in the driver’s seat today. A war today with China and Russia would be devastating to us. I am currently working on a PhD with specialization in Homeland Security and doing my dissertation research on IEDs. I have written/published four books on asymmetrical warfare, terrorism, and counterterrorism.
Observations: I have noticed that when liberals/progressives cannot factually argue an issue, they revert to namecalling, insults, and emotionalism. There is a lot of evidence that Iran is a state-sponsor of terrorism and terrorists. A simple search on the Internet produced the following sources:

There are hundreds of additional sources that bear out my assertions. Before making wild accusations of my lacking facts, perhaps, you should make a quick literature search. You would find that Iran is a prominent state-sponsor of terrorists including Hezbollah and Hamas. I have read “1984″ thank you. Your thoughts and ideas have brought about a 1984-type state in the United States.
Anonymous, it seems you are anti-Semitic. It seems like you dislike the United States and support countries like Iran, Russia, and China. Sounds like you could be considered “the enemy within.” Also, both you and the other fellow should include your photos and bio in your author’s biography. You should allow people to see with whom they are conversing. It seems that the boldest people on these blogs never like to show who they are so they can own up to their vile words. That’s just my observation.
