The teddy bear is named after U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt. In 1902, he participated in a bear-hunting trip in Mississippi. While hunting, he observed the behavior of the other hunters as “unsportsmanlike” after he refused to kill a bear they had captured.

When I was a child, I had a couple of occasions where I saw my teddy bears coming to life. One was an electronic black horse that galloped and neighed in a delighted manner, as if it had just eaten an apple. It did this in the middle of the night when the switch had to be drug over to on or off. I made sure repeatedly to turn it off. Another time was a white bear, which was oversized and it would loom over me while I slept with a somewhat sinister look in its eyes. Did it move so quickly? Every time I blinked it was closer. Than another one, which my aunt took from my room which seemed to have a spirit attached to it, as it kept moving to several locations in an instant. It was a polar bear.
 
In fact, I garnered quite the teddy bear collection in my young life. It was one item which I loved to collect. I had shelves and shelves full of them. Only when I was in my adolescence, I gave them all away to a local charity finding it uncool. But, as I grow older, I find that I do enjoy them again.

My grandma gave me a story to read when I was young. The Velveteen Rabbit. It is a tale about loving something to death. Loving a stuffed animal, in particular until it wears away into nothing. It is so divine. 

A Teddy bear is traditionally brought along to a journey. One that is had while we are sleeping, traveling and also when we are in need of extra protection and comfort. The teddy bear invokes that feeling of peace. It encourages us to keep a positive perspective on the events around us, no matter how anxious they may make us. We realize that by invoking this energy we are wanting to in turn protect the bear from harm. We are imprinting ourselves onto this sacred object.

A bear represents protection in the spiritual world. It is a good spirit to invoke when you need to feel courageous. It’s easy to do so, while sleeping with one in your arms. As we dream, figuring out the world of the night…

Comfort Objects
A teddy bear is considered to be a comfort object. This is an item that promotes low stress levels and a secure environment. We can be attached to many different items and artifacts. We empathize with a small animal, who at all times needs to be watched after.

We develop a sense of personality and kinship with these sacred objects. We come to think of them as a living spiritual being, which is in turn a reflection of our own inner worlds. We have compassion.

Children become emotionally attached to cuddly toys, blankets and even smelly old scraps of material because they intuitively believe they possess a unique essence or life force! This is true when we are focusing our thoughts into one point, where we realize that energy is transformational. This is healthy and good!

Spirits & Dolls
Now as a child I was so afraid of dolls and other toys that I would stuff them into my closet at night. During the day, I would pretend to like them in hopes of pleasing my parents and bringing harmony but, as soon as the darkness began to fall I became terrified. I remember a feeling of loneliness as a child that is so hard to explain but, I somewhat felt nurtured by a selection of them.

I began to understand that spirits could attach to these dolls. They frequently would and move them about as if they were living. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be scary, like perhaps it was my ancestors but, I certainly know it fascinated me in the end.

It is just something that we have in common with the spiritual world. We are playful, mischievous and love to connect. There are many complex beings in other dimensions as well which are misunderstood. Whatever the case, the fact is that both the living and dead know the power of these possessions.

Teddy Bear Dreams
When we are young, we can’t express our feelings so easily. We need to be given the tools to chisel the symbols onto the stone. We need words, language and connection. We feel the need to come together in survival at our very core. When we become too lonely, we feel the need to disappear as if we are eliminating ourselves for the greater good somehow.

I believe in all the sacredness of where we pull our mana from. This is in our dreams, where we reach high into the heavens to grasp messages from the future, where our soul is transcending parallel planes and levels of the subconscious. When we see the teddy bear in our mind, know that it is a symbol of holy protection and healing of the light.

Remember pulling up your blankets into a tent? Did you ever speak to your bear? This is likely because you knew these items were alive in times of your far-off ancestors and the most import sense of love is unconditional! This is where this energy stems from and it will open us up to channel from our D.N.A. The past is with us in life and death.

If you want to make the power of your stuffed animals stronger, there is a few things you can do. One is to enchant a piece of ribbon with prayer through smoke and fire or even salt water. You can do it often to increase the potency. Then, tie it round your animal into the bow with the help of cupid.  Summon angels with your words and visions of light to help in your endeavors. Kiss it as well, because this is a blessing of love. 

There are also different variations in other cultures of ancestral objects which are used by the powerless to find power. The secret is in our blood. The magics of stardust and romance haunts us and that is what we are really seeking for.

May you be gracious, the reader of this, with the wisdom to understand inanimate beings. There are secrets hidden in every creation sewn up by the hands of gods and spiders. The sunrises in Heaven and sets in the fog of the future. Athena, the angel of artistic endeavors, breathes her blessings onto you and so do I… May you be well.
