Christ’s Birth on the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) in 6 CE

False church traditions (unsubstantiated embellishments), the precepts of men (manufactured theology), and doctrines of demons (assimilated paganism) cloud the truth regarding Christ’s conception and birth. For starters, one needs to review the program entitled “Christmas Unwrapped: The History of Christmas” from when The History Channel actually presented history:

According to this program, Mithraism and Saturnalia were assimilated from pagan Rome; that’s where December 25th falsely originated; see,, and

Arguably, the most important quote of “Christmas Unwrapped” occurs at the 7:31 mark: “So if you’re gonna sort through the runes of the Scriptures, Jesus was probably born in the Spring. If the shepherds were out in the fields watching their flocks by night, we’re probably not talking about one of the cold spells at the heart of winter.” — Forrest Church, Minister, All Souls Church

Note: I have no affiliation with this minister or church.

Many “Biblical scholars” discounted the Lucan account because of the mention of Lysanias, the tetrarch of Abilene, in Luke 3:1. They assumed it was this figure from circa 40-36 BCE; see That was before the discovery of the Corpus Inscriptionum Graecarum (CIG) 4521; see Again, the Word of God was vindicated as it repeatedly is via archaeology.

Furthermore, when the Book of Luke is placed within the context of the calendar from the Dead Sea Scrolls, not only can one know with GREAT CERTAINTY the month, day, year, and day of the week when Joshua* (Heb. Yehoshu’a/Aram. Yeshua/Gr. ‘Iesous) was born incarnate but when John (Yochanan) and He were conceived.

*Note: “Jesus” incorrectly originates from the transliteration of the Latin; it is NOT the translation. See the second footnote from Matthew 1:1 in Aramaic ( According to the famous Hebrew lexicographer Reuben Alcalay, Yehoshu’a is closely associated with “Let there be…”

Returning to Christ’s conception and birth… the FACTS unfold as follows, and NO CHURCH currently teaches the truth:

Fact #1: Elisheba (Elizabeth) was six months pregnant in the sixth month; concentrate on vv26 and 36.

Fact #2: Tsekharya (Zecharias) was a Levite of the order/division of Abijah; concentrate on v5.

Fact #3: The mute and shaken Tsekharya returned home immediately after his weekly course was completed, and Elisheba conceived a son.

Fact #4: This is the calendar documented in the Dead Sea Scrolls; see

Fact #5: For Elisheba to be six months pregnant in the sixth month, Tsekharya (of the course of Abijah) had to have served in the 12th month. The only time this occurs is from the 14th-20th; see Cycle of Priestly Divisions… > Division Year 3 of 6 in the Qumran calendar above.

Fact #6: As Tsekharya (and Elisheba) were righteous and walked in ALL requirements and commandments of the Lord (Luke 1:6), he could not have traveled more than a Sabbath day’s journey (2,000 cubits) on the 21st of the 12th month, which was a weekly Sabbath.'s_journey.htm

Fact #7: The first day that Tsekharya could have returned home (likely Kiriath Arba — aka Hebron — in the hill country of Judah) was the 22nd of the 12th month on the first day of the week. This was the day that Yochanan (John) was conceived.

Fact #8: After Miryam’s (Mary’s) visitation from the archangel Gavri’el (Gabriel) in the sixth month (Luke 1:26), she left IN A HURRY to visit Elisheba. At the moment of arrival, Elisheba was overcome by the Holy Spirit and knew that Miryam had conceived a child.

Fact #9: Exactly six months after Yochanan was conceived, Yehoshu’a was conceived. According to the Qumran calendar, that would have occurred on the 22nd of the sixth month on the first day of the week, which is the Feast of New Oil!

Sidebar: The Feast of New Oil was also the fourth of four agricultural feasts each occurring 49 days apart, exclusive (i.e., barley, wheat, grapes/wine, and olive oil). Olive oil was a component of anointing oil; see Also, the root of “Christos” ( is “chrió” meaning “to anoint with olive oil” (

Fact #10: The gestation period for women is 38 weeks from CONCEPTION (not to be confused with last menstrual period or LMP) to birth; see EXACTLY 38 weeks after Miryam conceived, Yeshoshu’a was born on the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) on the 15th day of the third month on the first day of the week.

So, now we know the month, day, and day of the week of John’s conception and Christ’s conception and birth. Now, for the years.

Fact #11: Yehoshu’a was born in 6 CE during the census of Quirinius; see For the Scriptural reference, concentrate on v2; see

Sidebar: “Herod” was a dynastic title like Caesar and Pharaoh. The “Herod” at the time of Christ’s birth was Herod Archelaus; he was deposed that same year (after the “slaughter of the innocents” in Bet Lechem) and died in exile in 18 CE; see When did the “holy family” return from Egypt after Herod [Archelaus] died? When Yehoshu’a was 12 years old (18 CE – 6 CE = 12 years).

Sidebar: The only verse in the Gospels that contradicts this account is Matthew 2:22. The earliest extant manuscript containing that verse was from Papyrus 70 from the late third century CE (which is “a fairly reliable text, though it was carelessly written”); see The “early church fathers” were already at work destroying the truth!

This was what the “wise men of the east” of Jerusalem (Yerushalyim) — 15 miles as the crow flies — in the desert wilderness of Qumran saw on the Feast of Weeks in 6 CE; see This was confirmed with our local planetarium in Baton Rouge. The “wandering stars” of Jupiter (representative of the Most High/Father) and Venus (representative of the virgin mother) as well as the conjunction with occultation of Uranus (representative of the Holy Spirit) and Mars (representative of the redemptive Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53) rose in the east in the constellation Pisces (representative of Israel). This “star” sign naturally moved from east to south towards Bethlehem (Bet Lechem) as the evening progressed — just as the Scriptures state.

After eight days, Joshua was circumcised and the appropriate sacrifices were made for a firstborn son in accordance with Torah (=instruction/Law; five Books of Moses); see and Afterwards, the wise men of the “sect” called The Way (Heb. HaDerech) in Acts and the Dead Sea Scrolls met with Herod Archelaus and visited the family in Bethlehem. After Joseph’s (Yosef’s) vision, the family departed for Egypt; see Again, this was as prophesied and as the Scriptures state.

False traditions such as Herod the Great being part of this narrative when he died in 4 BCE and the precepts of men creating the fanciful machinations of the three kings of Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO SCRIPTURAL BASIS! Who doesn’t think that the wise men of The Way in Qumran didn’t have the means to gift Joshua the Messiah (Yehoshu’a HaMashiach) with gold, frankincense, and myrrh after the discovery of the Copper Scroll? See

      In summation:

      * Yochanan was conceived on the 22nd day of the twelfth month on the first day of the week in 4 CE.

      * Yehoshu’a was conceived on the 22nd day of the sixth month on the first day of the week on the Feast of New Oil in 5 CE — exactly six months from Yochanan’s conception.

      * Yehoshu’a was born during the census of Quirinius on the 15th day of the third month on the first day of the week on the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot) in 6 CE — exactly 38 weeks from His conception.

Sidebar: This is when the “sect” called The Way (HaDerech) in Acts and the DSS made new covenants. Christ’s birth ushered in the ultimate New Covenant! Josephus, a self-described Pharisee (and we know what Christ thought of them in the Eight Woes of Matthew 23) coined the derogatory term “Essenes” (=pious ones).

Fact #12: This historical record — corroborated from eyewitness accounts in chronological order ( — was written to Mattathias ben Theophilus** (, who served as the kohen gadol (=chief priest) in Jerusalem from 65-66 CE… just before the outbreak of the First Jewish-Roman War in 66 CE (–Roman_War).

**Note: He was referenced as Theophilus in Luke 1:3 and Acts 1:1 just as Yosef ben Caiaphas was referenced as Caiaphas.

The truth is out there if one seeks it. Shema Yisrael!

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. (NASB)

  Isaiah 43v11 …I, even I, am YHWH; and beside me there is no saviour.

Nuff said about all this false savior and demonic virgin birth’s!

      • Alan Schuetz

Yehoshu’a = Yahoah (the correct pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton)

The Tetragrammaton should be rendered as Yahoah, with the “vav” being pronounced as the “o” in Torah, menorah, Eloah (singular form of Elohim), and Yehoshu’a (=Joshua, Christ’s REAL name). A DSS fragment has it spelled ‘Iaw in Greek (iota-alpha-omega), which is consistent with Yahoah; see

Enough said about rabbinic Judaism hiding the truth! Israel is Mystery Babylon! The Jewry follows a Babylonian (Masoretic) calendar in which the fourth month is named after the Babylonian deity Tammuz, places more faith in the Talmud Bavli (Babylonian Talmud) than they do in the TaNaKh, and recites “Adonai” for the Tetragrammaton which invokes the Greek Adonis and Babylonian Tammuz. Even Jerusalem is likened to Sodom and Egypt when speaking of Enoch and Elijah, the two witnesses of Revelation:

        Shema Yisrael!

        Why Explore the Qumran Calendar?

***From Alan Schuetz in Baton Rouge, LA: Why would one even explore the 364-day solar year outlined by the Qumran calendar when the primarily lunar-based Masoretic calendar is observed by the modern Jewry? The answer becomes quite obvious when etymologies (word origins) are examined.
In “The Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible,” Vol. 1 (A-C) [ISBN 0-310-33188-9] under the topic “calendar,” heading “IV. Calendar Systems,” subheading “Hebrew calendars and their derivatives,” section “2. Orthodox Jewish” on p. 690, the following is found:

“The Jews had a luni-solar calendar on the Babylonian model, intercalating a second Adar and eventually standardizing seven intercalations in nineteen years, though the Mishnaic rules leave the final decision in the hands of the Sanhedrin. According to the tractate ‘Rosh hashshanah,’ great attention was paid to the observation of the new moon; but it was laid down that there could not be more than seven, nor fewer than five, thirty-day months in any year.”

The interesting thing to note is that the Torah never includes *any* mention of Rosh Hashanah!!! It contains Zichron Teruah or the Memorial of Blasting (of Trumpets or Shofar [Ram's Horns]). It is *not* the “head of the year,” and there is no mention of a civil versus religious calendar in the entirety of the TaNaKh. God named His first month Abib and the other eleven were simply enumerated. Likewise, He named the seventh day Shabbat (Sabbath) and enumerated the other six days of the week.

In the same article on calendars in Zondervan, we find the following (compared for brevity):

        Names of the Months:

        Babylonian / Masoretic
        Nisanu / Nisan
        Aiaru / Iyyar
        Simanu / Sivan
        Duzu / Tammuz
        Abu / Ab
        Ululu / Elul
        Tashritu / Tishri
        Arahsamnu / Marhesvan
        Kislimu / Kislev
        Tebetu / Tebeth
        Shabatu / Shebat
        Addaru / Adar

The similarities are quite obvious. Regarding the Hebrew name Tammuz for the forth month… the Babylonian name for this deity was Du’uzu according to the etymology of “Tammuz” in “The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language,” Third Edition. With this piece of information, we can see how Duzu became Tammuz.

The following are the etymologies of the Hebrew months according to “… American Heritage …”:

        1. Hebrew nsn, from Akkadian nissanu, the first month of the year, from Sumerian nisag, first fruits.
        2. None provided, but the similarity to Aiaru is obvious.
        3. Hebrew swn, from Akkadian Simnu, the month Simanu.
        4. Hebrew Tammz, from Babylonian Du’uzu, the name of a god.
        5. Hebrew ‘b, from Canaanite ‘ab.
        6. Hebrew ‘Ell, from Akkadian ullu, ellu, the month Ululu (August/September).
        7. Hebrew tisr, from Akkadian tasrtu, the month Tashritu (September/October).
        8. Hebrew heswn, short for marheswn, October/November, from Akkadian arahsamnu.
        9. Hebrew kislw, from Akkadian kislimu, kisliwu.
        10. Hebrew tbt, from Akkadian tebtu, the month Tebetu (December/January).
        11. None provided, but the similarity to Shabatu is obvious.
        12. Hebrew ‘dr, from Akkadian adaru, a month of the Akkadian calendar corresponding to parts of February and March.

According to “The Concise Columbia Encyclopedia,” Third Edition, under the topic “Akkadian:”

“Akkadian (ekden), language belonging to the Semitic subfamily of the Hamito-Semitic family of languages. Also called Assyro-Babylonian, Akkadian was current in ancient Mesopotamia (now Iraq) from about 3000 B.C. until the time of Jesus.”

From “… Zondervan …” Vol. 5 (Q-Z), under the topic “Tammuz” on p.595, we find the following:

“In the Babylonian saga his death and visit to the underworld represents the annual wilting of vegetation in the scorching heat of summer. His return to earth, brought about by the descent of the mourning Ishtar into the nether world, represents the renewal of nature. The annual mourning rites for Tammuz took place on the second day of the fourth month (June/July), giving rise in post-Biblical times to the Jewish practice of naming their fourth month Tammuz. In Ezekiel’s time, a variation of this rite of mourning found women weeping at the north gate of the Temple (Ezekiel 8:14).”

Let’s examine that verse and the following for a moment:

Ezekiel 8:14 Then He brought me to the entrance of the gate of the LORD’S house which [was] toward the north; and behold, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz. 15 He said to me, “Do you see [this], son of man? Yet you will see still greater abominations than these.” (NASB)

The Masoretic calendar cannot be of the God of Abraham and Moses; the naming of the fourth month after Tammuz — which is an abomination to our Lord — violates the Law as it was given to Moshe (Moses). Therefore, one must look elsewhere. The Qumran calendar is a better candidate because it does not violate any Scripture.
Apparently, all the modern Biblical translators chose “new moon” over “new month” because of Masoretic practices regarding the sighting of the crescent following the “new moon” as the beginning of the month. This has absolutely no Biblical basis. The Septuagint employs “neomenia” (nu-epsilon-omicron-mu-eta-nu-iota-alpha), “noumenia” (nu-omicron-upsilon-mu-eta-nu-iota-alpha), and sometimes “men” (mu-eta-nu) according to “The Zondervan Pictorial Encyclopedia of the Bible,” Vol. 4 (M-P) on p.417 under the topic “new moon.” The Greek root word is “menas” (mu-eta-nu-alpha-sigma) meaning “month.”

Likewise, the Hebrew “chodesh” (heth-daleth-shin) simply means “new/renew” in regard to a month. The Hebrew “yereach” (yod-resh-heth) literally means “moon.” Essentially, all the references to a “new moon” in the OT is actually “new month” — “chadash chodesh” (heth-daleth-shin heth-daleth-shin). “New moon” is a misnomer.

According to the Langenscheidt “Standard Greek Dictionary,” the words/phrases used for “new moon” are “nea selene” (nu-epsilon-alpha sigma-epsilon-lambda-eta-nu-eta) and “chainourio pheggari” (chi-alpha-iota-nu-omicron-upsilon-rho-iota-omicron phi-epsilon-gamma-gamma-alpha-rho-iota). The first usage is confirmed by Zondervan (ibid.).

The Word of God does not specify a “new moon” to mark new months as the Babylonians did (as well as numerous other Oriental religions). The Masoretic calendar is based on this same 19-year lunar cycle. The community at Qumran — referred to as Essenes by others (that is, they did not refer to themselves as such) — used a solar based calendar. It certainly was in practice at the time of Christ. This community used a six-year cycle to designate the priestly courses (see 1 Chronicles 24:7-19 for the 24 courses). The reason for this cycle is that this solar calendar consisted of 52 weeks, and the lowest common multiple of 52 weeks evenly divisible by 24 weekly courses is 312 (52×6)…

Colossians 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day — (NASB)

The word translated as “new moon” in this passage is “neomenia,” and it is the only occurrence in the NT. This is an incorrect translation; it should be “new month.” However, we should take this Scripture to heart and not judge anyone in regard to a festival or a new month or a Sabbath day…

Christmas was never a pagan holiday –

The Catholic Christmas season STARTS on December 25th and ends of February 2nd. In fact, advent, the time before Christmas, is a kin to lent. It is not a time of celebration.

The second vatican council was satanic. They mixed in jewish lies with Catholic truth. So all of it must be disregarded. The jews don’t like St. Nicolas, what a surprise.

The masonic/jewish controlled material heretic Pope Paul VI removed 93 Saints from the Catholic calendar?, again I’m surprised!

Santa claus is not Catholic, nor is flying reindeer.

      Halloween is not Catholic either.

Again, Santa is not a Catholic invention. It is a worldly modification of the very real St. Nicolas.

The “tradition of krampus” stopped, because the world became mostly Catholic. Now that the Catholic Church is small and in eclipse, it is logical that krampus would return.

Unsure of the true history of the Christmas tree. I heard once that it is a foreshadowing of the tree of the Cross. The tree Christ would Sacrifice Himself on for man’s potential salvation.

“false converts to fill their churches”

The Catholic Church wants no such thing. She wants souls that love and spread the Faith, not wolves in sheeps clothing corrupting those who do.

King james was a mason. Masons = satan worshippers.

      Protestants condemned Christmas?… Nooo..

That “mass” shown is one of the many false masses of the jewish conciliar church of the second vatican council. Thee impostor catholic church which is the whore in the Book of the Apocalypse. I’m a Catholic attend REAL Masses and own a REAL Missal. Lucifer is not sung to. He is not mentioned outside the reading of Scripture.

Materialism is condemned by the real Catholic Church.

The world does not accept Catholic truth, nor receive the Sacraments, so is it any surprise that the world is on fire and kids act like they are demon possessed?

      “what will you do?”

I will continue in Catholic truth. The truth that is Scripture AND Apostolic Tradition.

      • Alan Schuetz

You talk about Catholic “truth.” Let’s just focus on Mary for a moment. Where in the canonized NT does it state that:

        1. she is the Queen of Heaven (,
        2. anyone is to pray to her (,
        3. she is our intercessor (,
        4. she was conceived immaculately (,
        5. she was born without original sin (,
        6. she was a perpetual virgin (, or
        7. she is currently in Heaven [i.e., her Assumption] (

In fact, it doesn’t. The only superlative given to Miryam, who the RCC calls Mary, was that she was “blessed among women.” The NT states that Joshua, who the RCC calls Jesus, had four brothers and at least two sisters. Ya’akov (Jacob), who the RCC calls James, was so prominent that he made the decision regarding Gentile believers at the First Council of Jerusalem; he was one of the four brothers.

Show me just ONE VERSE from the NT where it states that Rome was the church established by Cephas (Peter), the apostle to the Jews, and where he ever visited Rome. Again, you can’t; it’s lies interspersed with the truth, but it’s still lies. REPENT!

          Very well done!

Rome is the city of Satan and the Roman church is Satan’s church — from day one.

Thanks! I’ve been studying the Scriptures from a Hebraic perspective for 25 years now and the Dead Sea Scrolls — groping for The Way — for two decades. I’m currently authoring a book in my free time entitled “Our Messiah Few REALLY Know.”

This is one of the few sites I turn to from time to time.

          1. Jesus is King: John 1:49 “Nathanael answered him, and said: Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.” John 20: 28 “Thomas answered, and said to him: My Lord and my God.”

Mary is His Mother: Luke 1:30-31 “And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God. Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and shalt bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name Jesus.”

The Mother of a King is always a Queen.

She is Spouse of the Holy Ghost, She conceived by Him: Luke 1:34-35 ” And Mary said to the angel: How shall this be done, because I know not man? And the angel answering, said to her: The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee. And therefore also the Holy which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

The Spouse of a King is always a Queen.

          2. Catholics ask for Her prayers. It is commonly called “prayer” but is more petitioning. “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners..”

James 5:16 “Confess therefore your sins one to another: and pray one for another, that you may be saved. For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much.”

No creation is more Just than the Holy Mother of God.

          3. Real Christians follow Christ. In that way, all Christians are intercessors. I refer back to James 5:16. If I pray for your salvation, I am interceding.

          Example of Her mediation:

John 2:3-5 “And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine. And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? My hour is not yet come. His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye.”

Jesus was not going to act. Only by Mary’s intercession He did.

          4. The Immaculate Conception is Apostolic Tradition. Jesus being pure and spotless needed both parents to be pure and spotless. Also, Jesus is God. God does not dwell in sinful vessels. When God is in someone, sin is not. And that includes original sin.

          5. One and the same with the Immaculate Conception. (If you actually read the wiki pages you would know this.) Makes me wonder if you just blindly copy and paste the common protestant arguments. Think for yourself.

          6. Both Her and St. Joseph made vows of virginity. For Mary, there is a hint of it, in Scripture, when She says that She “knows not man.” This is only a question, because She consecrated Herself to God, for God only. She had no plans of having a child. Jesus’ “brothers and sisters” are His cousins.

          7. Again, Apostolic Tradition. After Her death (3 days, I think) the Apostles found Her grave open with lilies growing in it. However, Jesus and Mary are not the only ones bodily in Heaven. The old testament Saints are also bodily there:

Matthew 27: 52-53 “And the graves were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose, And coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, came into the holy city, and appeared to many.”
Those risen from the dead were assumed into Heaven at the time of Jesus’ Ascension.

          8. Rome is not a church. I presume you meant Catholic. First let me say that the city of Rome is not essential to the Faith. The headquarters could be in Los Angeles, California. It matters not. Now, St. Peter did not establish the Catholic Church Christ did:

Matthew 16:18-19 “And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.”

(There is a clear line of successors to today )

With St Peter as His first Steward:

John: 15-17 “When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: feed my lambs. He saith to him again: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: feed my lambs. He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: feed my sheep.”

          • Alan Schuetz

When Enoch and Elijah, the two witnesses of Revelation, return to Jerusalem, you’d better pay attention — your eternal life depends on it. You’d better hope you don’t experience the first death before learning of your indoctrination into doctrines of demons (assimilated paganism) of the RCC. Don’t worry, you’re in good company with those who follow rabbinic Judaism.

BTW, answer the questions regarding Mary from the SCRIPTURES as well as that of Peter. Your church can’t even get its history straight. Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, was definitely in Rome — Peter, the apostle to the JEWS, certainly was not! The idiocracy is nearly beyond comprehension… SMH

Christmas was so a pagan celebration…

… and does your Vulgate make no mention of Interpretatio Christiana?

Before the Catholics became strong enough to rewrite history they were busy assimilating almost any old pagan belief so long as the former heathens would fight for them. Of course Easter is another prime example but lets not get ahead of the debate and stick to X-mas.

Take a minute, literally, and tell me if Jeremiah 10:1-5…

… doesn’t warn against Christmas traditions.

trent one of my uncles was catholic and he was a farmer — the priest would come in number to shame him into giving them money every year.

I am friends with a lady from Canada also from a farming area, when the old farmers were dying the priests would come and tell them if they deeded the farm to the church the farmer would not have to go to purgatory. of course they evicted the wife and anyone else on the farm..

What a great shake down!!! scare the poor sucker to death before he dies and steal what little he has.

I view Rome as the center of sin and the catholic church as a crime syndicate.

My guess — not one pope will ever be in God’s Kingdom. and 99.9% of the bishops and priests
