QUESTION #2: Obama's Released Birth Certificate?

Why does Obama’s birth certificate show his father’s race as African?  Just wondering.

Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth states that the race of his father is “African.”  African is not a race.  African is someone who lives in or came from the continent of Africa.  Likewise, North American is someone who lives or came from the North American continent.  Also, an American is someone who lives in or came from the United States of America or the continental United States (CONUS).  Neither of these labels (North American and American) are designations for race. 

In 1961, there were only three designated races: Caucasoid or Caucasian (White), Negroid or Negro (also Colored People in 1961 and Black today), and Mongoloid or Mongolian (Yellow or Oriental in 1961 and Asian today).  As a 19-year-older in 1961, I knew the three racial designations.  How the experts at Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital did not know the three racial designations is hard to grasp.
