Progressive Insurance Is Owned By Peter Lewis: Who is he? Read this…

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

You’ve seen and probably smiled at the clever Progressive Insurance TV commercials.
Well, as Paul Harvey would say, “You’re about to learn the rest of the story”.

You know their TV commercials, the ones featuring the ditsy actress all dressed in white.
What you might not know is that the Chairman of Progressive is Peter Lewis,
one of the major funders of leftist causes in America ..

Between 2001 and 2003, Lewis funneled $15 million to the ACLU,
the group most responsible for destroying what’s left of Americas Judeo-Christian heritage.

Lewis also gave $12.5 million to MoveOn.org and America Coming Together,
two key propaganda arms of the socialist left.

His funding for these groups was conditional on matching contributions from George Soros,
the America-hating socialist who is the chief financier of the Obama political machine.

Lewis made a fortune as a result of capitalism, but now finances a progressive movement that threatens
to destroy the American free enterprise system that is targeting television shows on Fox News.

Peter Lewis is making a fortune off of conservative Americans (who buy his auto insurance) that he then applies to dismantle the very system that made him wealthy. He’s banking on no one finding out who he is,
so STOP buying Progressive Insurance and pass this information on to all your friends..

Chairman Lewis’ gift helps the ACLU promote their anti-Christmas agenda such as:
· Removing nativity scenes from public property
· Banning songs such as Silent Night from schools
· Refusing to allow students to write about the Christian aspect of Christmas in school projects
· Renaming Christmas break Winter break
· Refusing to allow a city sponsored Christmas parade to be called a Christmas parade
· Not allowing a Christmas tree in a public school
· Renaming a Christmas tree displayed on public property a Holiday tree
In addition to their war on Christmas, the ACLU uses gifts like that from Chairman Lewis to:
· Sue states to force them to legalize homosexual marriage
· Force libraries to remove porn filters from their computers
· Sue the Boy Scouts to force them to accept homosexuals as scout leaders
· Help legalize child pornography
· Legalize live sex acts in bars in Oregon
· Protect the North American Man Boy Love Association whose motto is “sex by eight or it is too late”
· Censor student led prayer at graduation
· Remove “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance
· Remove “In God We Trust” on our currency

instead of christmas, could we do the feast of tabernacles? it is in the bible and it lasts 7 whole days and it’s not in the coldest time of the year. the heck with these made up holy days like christmas.

Aaron Dykes of PrisonPlanet.com, his sister, who was insured by Progressive Ins., was in a fatal accident caused by the other driver, who was also a Progressive customer. According to Mr. Dykes, Progressive Ins. switched clients and joined the other defendant’s legal team as an adviser to represent the guilty party in order to mitigate a lower settlement. Legally, I thought it was low-life of them and would never entertain the idea of using them for my insurance company. In fact, I’ll go so far as changing the channel or hit the mute button because I find them so repulsive.

Lewis hasn’t been involved with Progressive since he stepped down in 2000.
The $5 million he donated to the ACLU in 2001 went to the formation of drug testing in schools and the scientific aspect of medicinal marijuana.
Progressive also donates a LARGE amount of money to non-political charitable organizations. Check their website.
The ACLU is not against Christmas, Christians, or any of the hate-filled vitriol this person writes about.
The ACLU of Louisiana (2012) filed a lawsuit on behalf of a member of Raven Ministries, a Christian congregation that regularly preaches the Gospel in New Orleans’s French Quarter. The lawsuit challenged a city ordinance that restricts religious speech on Bourbon Street after dark. As a result of the lawsuit, a federal judge issued an order that blocks enforcement of the law. http://theadvocate.com/home/3963587-125/judge-halts-restriction-on-bourbon
The ACLU of Virginia (2012 and 2010) opposed bans on students’ right to wear rosary beads at two public middle schools. The schools dropped the bans after receiving letters from the ACLU.
      http://www.aclu.org/religion-belief/letter-matacoa-middle-school
      http://www.aclu.org/religion-belief/letter-fairfield-middle-school
The ACLU of New Mexico (2012) filed a lawsuit on behalf of two Christian street preachers who were arrested multiple times for exercising their First Amendment rights by preaching in public. http://aclu-nm.org/aclu-sues-roswell-for-violating-christian-preachers%E2%80%99-right-to-free-speech/2012/04/#.T4wzkIVURLM.email
The ACLU of Texas (2011) filed a brief in support of students in the Plano school district who wanted to include Christian messages in their holiday gift bags.
      http://www.aclutx.org/blog/?p=706
There are a ton more cases where the ACLU defends the religious. To label them as anti-Christian is simply ridiculous.
Also, a little research into Christmas trees might shed some light onto their true origins (I’ll give you a hint: they had nothing to do with Christianity).
This is a horrible, inaccurate piece of writing, but I’m not surprised it was written.

Congrats. for lookinup facts. I always find that hate mail is a compiling of lies in the hope that no one will take the time to look up facts. Thank You

This article is just garbage. It saddens me to see everything in this country being devided along political lines. You have to get a life before this stuff kills you.

    • joeblow

sounds like we should be talking about the ACLU and not some dead chairman and retired CEO.

    • iamamerican

The silent co-owner of Progressive is none other than George Soros himself.

and what do you think GEICO is? Do you all know what GEICO stands for?

Government Employees Insurance COmpany. Get it?

What do you think happens with the money that goes to GEICO? Why do you think Progressive is called “Progressive”? Yes, it’s because it’s owned by a lefty…they think progressivism is so great that they laugh in our faces by forcing us to buy their insurance and using it against us.

Just like the “Progressive Tax System” created by the Socialist left.

Insurance of all kinds is nothing but a criminal mafia racket. They create laws to force us to give them our money so that they get rich and powerful and use it against us to keep us weak and enslaved to their tyrannical system.

Gee, kinda like the “Affordable Care Act” that’s everything BUT affordable, it’s a mandated TAX, it steals our money, our choice, our freedom, and our sovereign rights. But they spit in our face by calling it “Affordable”. Then turn around and immediately steal hundreds of billions if not trillions of tax payer dollars while at the same time cancelling millions of policies and then hike up the premiums by 30 to as much as 100%.

Wake up Americans…you’re Republic has been taken over by a Marxist coupe, and soon they’ll begin outright executing people who dissent.

Gun up and get ready Patriots!

    • smokewell

As a conservative who loves my country and our heritage of freedom, I have no problem returning to the Pledge of Allegiance as originally written.

As a conservative who loves the Constitution, I have no problem with people exercising their rights….even when I don’t agree with how they are using them. Constitutional rights are NOT decided by majority rule.

As a conservative, I understand the 9th Amendment allows things I may not like. Too bad for me.

I remember when Progressive was just a substandard Auto Ins Co
