President Trump: A Man ‘for Such a Time as This’

Make no mistake, Tuesday June 12, 2018, was a historic day for America and for President Trump. Should the Lord tarry in His return and grace us with life, we will be able to tell our children and grandchildren we had the great blessing to have been alive when President Trump, through the grace of God, righted out nation.

I watched Monday night as our President accomplished what no other president has accomplished; he brought a North Korean Chairman to the bargaining table without firing a shot and without giving him billions of dollars.

And, I was even more proud of the state of apoplectic hebephrenia he reduced (or drove, take your pick), Democrats and the mainstream media into.

The liberal cable news networks and the Democrats had the pained facial expressions of someone passing a golf ball sized gallstone. I’ve seen emotional breakdowns before, but watching the pathetic excuses that masquerade as so-called journalists, exercise every ounce of their limited and prejudiced intellect trying to paint as failure what President Trump has accomplished, is worthy of paying admission to see.

Bob Menendez, D-NJ, who if rumors and indictments are to be believed, seldom ever saw an underage girl he didn’t want to make sexual advances toward, called President Trump’s statement during the unfolding events of Tuesday, “The weakest statement.” “Wee-wee Chuckie” Schumer, D-NY, claimed that President Trump “gave up leverage” to Chairman Kim Jong Un.

Those comments made by Menendez and Schumer were dishonest and morally opprobrious but not out of character for either man. Schumer is a pernicious congenital liar and Menendez’s lawyers inexplicably found a courtroom in which men who are reported to have slept with underage girls go free, showed themselves yet again to be dishonorable.

The so-called reporters, program hosts, and talking heads on MSBNC were groaning and making faces that are more associated with an advanced case of dysuria than journalism.

President Trump against all odds brought Chairman Un to the negotiation table. My question to Schumer, Menendez and the liberal media is: “if what President Trump did was no great feat and if it was his actions that cost America dearly as they have been claiming nonstop since the Singapore Summit was announced, why didn’t Clinton, Obama, and for that matter George W. Bush bring North Korea to the table? Why didn’t the billions of taxpayer’s dollars given to Chainman Un and his late father bring them to the negotiating table? President Trump gave nothing to get the North Korean leader to the table.

As I wrote in my syndicated column titled, “Did Clinton Let bin Laden Get Away” (Nov. 8, 2001), Sudanese President Bashir offered to “detain and hand over” bin Laden to the Clinton administration on a silver platter, complete with bin Laden’s top associates, and his money. Bill Clinton refused the offer and then lied about what had really happened. (See also: Jethro’s Ghost; 10/23/2003) Many of these same Democrats and the mainstream media refuse to acknowledge that then President Clinton’s idea of how to handle Kim Jong Il was: “to established a deal known as the Joint Framework Agreement which offered $4 billion worth of nuclear, energy, economic and diplomatic benefits in exchange for the halting of North Korea’s nuclear program in 1994. The deal also included two light-water nuclear reactors, which [were supposedly] more difficult to use to make weapons than Pyongyang’s plutonium reactor.” (North Korea: How Obama, Bush, Clinton Dealt With The Rogue Nation; Abby Hambin; 8/10/2017) If a deal that arms the bad guys and pays them billions in cash in the process had worked, there would have been no need for The Singapore Summit.

Obama’s method of dealing with bad guys was to genuflect and curtsey while offering himself up for a proctol exam. When it came to bending over and giving our enemies everything they demanded none were better than Obama. One of the most outrageous ideas in the history of warfare was entertained while Obama was commander-in-chief. Sara A. Carter, National Security Advisor for the Washington Examiner wrote May 7, 2010: “A proposal to grant medals for “courageous restraint” to troops in Afghanistan who avoid deadly force at a risk to themselves has generated concern among U.S. soldiers and experts who worry it could embolden enemy fighters”

George W. Bush was no better. He tried to bribe Chairman Un’s father, Kim Jong Il, into behaving by giving him $400 million in taxpayers money. Il took the money and as Bush left office he was still sending Il letters begging him to keep his promise.

The first lesson to understand when trying to negotiate with bad guys is when you bend over with your britches around your ankles to negotiate, well, suffice it to say you get violated.

Obama refused to call Muslim terrorists what they were – Islamic/Muslim terrorists. Bush invented the assignation “radical Islam,” which the Egyptian scholar Dr. Usama Dakdok explained didn’t exist. Dr. Dakdok, explained that a person was either a Muslim or they were not, and that there was no such thing as a “radical Islamist.”

Making sure everyone knew that their deplorable behavior could devolve further, one of the pathetic juveniles on one of the liberal cable news shows opined that it was “disgusting” to see the American Flag flying/hanging beside the North Korean Flag.

Really, that was their complaint? Where is their horror at the way the NFL players are disrespecting the American Flag and The National Anthem? Where was their patriotism when the Obama woman was caught saying: “All this for a damn flag” to her husband during a 9/11 commemoration ceremony? Where was their patriotism when Obama stood with his hands folded in front of his waist during the playing of the National Anthem?

Their selective moral outrage is the reason America has fallen in stature and that is the very reason that President Trump is succeeding despite having to fight Democrats, Karl Rove, Republicans, the never-trumpers, and fake news channels. The American people are tired of Obama types going overseas apologizing and blaming America for the ills of the world; especially when many Americans lost family members and/or friends in fighting to protect those very countries.

President Trump doesn’t see America as the problem, he sees America as the solution to the problem(s).

Tuesday June 12, 2018, is the day that President Trump had America stand tall and proud. It was also the day that Democrats, never-trumpers, and the mainstream media showed unequivocally that their hatred for President Trump has metamorphosed into complete lunacy.

There is nothing President Trump can ever do that will be good enough for them to acknowledge his greatness. They are fueled by their hatred for him. And therein lies the rub for them, because the more they attack President Trump’s “Making America Great Again” the more they are driving voters to his side.

Their refusal to acknowledge that President Trump is good for America, reminds us of an observation made by President Lyndon Johnson: “If one mourning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the headline that afternoon would read: President Can’t Swim.”

I hope Democrats and Karl Rove have a good candidate for the 2024 presidential election because the 2020 presidential election is already settled and it’s going to be historic.
