A follower has gifted American Vision with a rare 2nd Edition of Richard Baxter’s A Christian Directory, 1678 printing. Here’s your chance to get it for yourself, celebrate the Reformation, and help American Vision all at the same time!
We are auctioning off this rare book as a fundraiser for The American Vision, celebrating our Puritan heritage and Reformation Day, 2018.
This is a Reformation Day special! This year is the 501st anniversary of the Reformation, and the 440th for this edition of Baxter.
From the listing:
Rare book: I have a large (14×9), complete, intact, 2nd edition of Richard Baxter’s Christian Directory, 1678 printing. Overall it is in pretty good shape. Considering its age (440 yrs!), it is in great shape. The pages are generally clean and intact. There are no tears of which I am aware. The binding is intact, though it does have edge wear and some damage to corners (see pics).
I have included details of any markings I found inside the cover merely for disclosure. I have included a couple details shots of the wear. As far as I know and can tell, this is the original binding.
