Jussie Smollett Moves Closer to Hate Hoax List

Trendily black and homosexual Hollyweirdo Jussie Smollett still has not achieved a slot on the Hate Hoax List, because technically we don’t know for a fact that the alleged hate crime he is probably counting on to advance his career was a hoax. But he gets closer every time his name comes up in the news.

Smollett claims he was on the phone with his manager at the time of the supposed attacked, yet refused to turn over phone records to the police until yesterday.

Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said Smollett turned over a PDF file containing a redacted record of phone calls, but he said the redactions were “extreme.”

So extreme are the redactions that Chicago police describe the records as “insufficient proof” of the call.

This is about all we have in the way of evidence to support Smollett’s tale:

Meantime, police also are investigating a half-empty hot sauce bottle with a clear liquid in it, which recently was found near the scene of the alleged attack. Sources said the bottle smelled like bleach, which might corroborate Smollett’s claim his attackers poured a liquid chemical on him.

The bottle was not found during early evidence searches, but discovered later by a newspaper reporter.

Imagine standing trial in a court where that would be accepted as evidence.

Speaking of the media’s role in this farce, his fellow homosexual moonbat of politically privileged pigmentation Don Lemon says he texts Smollett daily:

“Every day I say, ‘I know you think I’m annoying’ – I can show you a text – ‘I know you think I’m annoying you, but I just want to know that you’re OK, and if you need somebody you can talk to me, ’cause there’s not a lot of us out there,’ ” Lemon recalled. “Sometimes he responds; sometimes he doesn’t. He responds and says, ‘You are not annoying.’”

He says that Don Lemon is not annoying? Now we know for sure that Smollett is a liar.

Matt Walsh gives five other reasons not to believe the hype:

1. The story is absurd on its face.

2. Video footage does not support the claims.

3. Smollett has not been eager to help the investigation.

4. Smollett is not behaving like the victim of a vicious beating.

5. His own neighbors don’t believe him.

As his lame hoax unravels, Smollett clings to the liberal media’s skirt, even resorting to tears:

The Empire actor spoke to ABC’s Robin Roberts for an interview that will air on Good Morning America on Thursday morning.

In a brief promo for the interview, he is seen tearing up after Roberts asked him if he feared for his life at any point during the attack.

At least we will get to see for ourselves whether he has any acting ability without trying to sit through Empire. But then, the show could not be any worse than GMA.

It is the first time the 36-year-old himself will answer questions on camera about the incident which shocked the nation and has brought an avalanche of both sympathy and scrutiny Smollett’s way.

The sympathy is certainly welcome; the scrutiny, not so welcome.

Sometimes it is impossible to prove a negative. But anyone following this story knows that the odds of this not being a hoax are negligible. Only widespread ignorance can prevent Smollett from becoming a laughing stock. Admirers like Don Lemon are sure to help out in that regard — disseminating ignorance is the liberal media’s stock in trade.
