Anti-Semite Bernie Sanders takes another shot at the Presidency

Senator Bernie Sanders has finally made it official. He is once again running for President. Jewish Americans should be very concerned about the prospect of a Bernie Sanders presidency, since few in American politics have been as anti-Israel and anti-Jewish as Sanders. Sanders has a long history of anti-Israel activity. Sanders also has a long history of embracing anti-Semites such as Noam Chomsky, Linda Sarsour, Keith Ellison, James Zogby, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Bernie Sanders is a 21^st century Tiberius Julius Alexander, Tomas de Torquemada, and Alexander Poskrebyshev, who were all lethal anti-Jewish Jews.

Sanders’ anti-Semitism and anti-Israel rhetoric has intensified considerably in recent years. Sanders believes that he can ascend to the presidency in part by appeasing the Democrat Party’s growing number of anti-Semitic voters. His most recent attacks against Israel occurred this past January, when he was the most vocal opponent of anti-BDS legislation. Sanders would later offer support to the anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar after she received a backlash for her anti-Semitic Twitter rant. Sanders’ hatred of Israel is deep and profound. Sanders would represent a serious threat to the U.S-Israel relationship and to the standing of pro-Israel American Jews. The United States would become much less safe for Jews if Bernie Sanders were elected President.

A President Bernie Sanders would be a ferocious and open critic of Israel. Sanders would implement policy designed to cause significant damage to the Jewish State. Under a President Sanders, the BDS movement would flourish in the United States. BDS activists such as Louis Farrakhan, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Linda Sarsour would become even more emboldened, knowing that they would have a strong supporter in the Oval Office.

Pro-Israel Jews would be attacked, abused, marginalized, and maligned much more frequently, since a President Sanders would veto any attempt to limit the efforts of the various anti-Israel hate groups. The chants to isolate pro-Israel Jewish Americans would grow even louder and more violent, especially on college campuses, social media, and the mainstream media.

A President Sanders would also replicate Europe’s Muslim immigration policies, not caring that such policies have made being Jewish in Europe unsafe. Under a President Sanders, it would become open season against Israel at the UN Security Council, since the U.S would not exercise its veto power to protect Israel from anti-Israel resolutions. In an America run by Bernie Sanders, vilification of pro-Israel Jews would be much more common and accepted.

The Jewish Americans who do not believe that such a scenario could happen in the United States would be wise to consider this: for decades Britain was one of the safest countries for Jews in the world.  However, in 2015 another Marxist who shares the same views as Bernie Sanders gained political power. Like Bernie Sanders, Jeremy Corbyn is an anti-Semite and a virulent hater of Israel. Like Bernie Sanders, Jeremy Corbyn is highly dependent on Britain’s anti-Semitic voters. In the three short years since Jeremy Corbyn took control of Britain’s Labour Party, anti-Semitism has skyrocketed in Britain.

In 2018, a record-breaking 1652 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded. 2018 marked the third consecutive year in which anti-Semitic attacks reached record levels in Britain. In May 2018, Britain’s three Jewish publications ran identical front-page editorials denouncing Jeremy Corbyn for his anti-Semitism. The three publications all referred to Corbyn as an existential threat to British Jewry. Recent polls have indicated that over 40% of Jews would leave Britain if Jeremy Corbyn were elected Prime Minister. It should not come as a surprise to anyone that Bernie Sanders flew to London to campaign for Corbyn during Britain’s last election. American Jews must understand that Bernie Sanders is the Jeremy Corbyn of the United States.

In his statement announcing that he is running for President, Bernie Sanders stated that “our campaign is about redoubling our efforts to end racism, sexism, homophobia, religious bigotry, and all forms of discrimination.” Sanders is a liar and a hypocrite. If Sanders wanted to end racism, sexism, homophobia, religious bigotry, and all forms of discrimination, then he would not support a society (that of the Palestinians) that practices and embraces all of those things. If Sanders were against all forms of racism and bigotry, he would have supported anti-BDS legislation, and not condemned it. Sanders supports the Jew-hating Palestinian leadership and the BDS movement because Sanders is an anti-Semite.
