Racially Charged Phoenix Shoplifting Case

The latest showcased example of racist oppression of sacred Persons of Politically Preferred Pigmentation by the police has been unfolding here in Phoenix. From the Washington Post’s weepy take:

A Phoenix couple is calling for justice after police pulled weapons and threatened to shoot them after their 4-year-old daughter took a doll from a bargain store, they said.

Dravon Ames, 22, and his fiancee, Iesha Harper, 24, said they were detained last month over allegations of shoplifting from a Family Dollar Store in Phoenix. Video released by police first showed the officers shouting at Ames and putting him into a patrol car, before turning their attention to Harper, who is visibly pregnant and was with the couple’s 1- and 4-year-old daughters.

Our intersectional Police Chief Jeri Williams and moonbat Mayor Kate Gallego reflexively sided against the police by issuing apologies to the criminals, as we have come to expect.

Gallego’s language was hyperbolic, calling the police response “completely inappropriate and clearly unprofessional,” barking that “there is no situation in which this behavior is ever close to acceptable,” et cetera.

But apologies are not good enough for the oppressed PPPPs, who intend to cash in their jackpot justice lottery ticket. They want $10 million compliments of Phoenix taxpayers. Also, they demand that the cops who apprehended them be fired.

The WaPo account leaves us to believe that the police acted like beasts because the lovely couple’s preschool daughter stole a doll without their knowledge. According to their claim, the police yelled at them, used bad language, pointed guns, punched Ames, and menaced an innocent baby.

Toward the end, WaPo grudging acknowledges in passing that there might be more to the story, such as the adults also shoplifting, Ames driving with a suspended license, and Ames refusing to stop when ordered to by the police.

Finally, readers are left with Ames belligerently whimpering,

“I really, really would hate to see that happen to anybody or someone dies over that, because I really feel like my family would have died over this — a Barbie doll.”

To summarize, the police did nothing wrong other than use foul language, which pales in comparison to bringing little kids on a shoplifting expedition.

Given that liberals apparently believe shoplifting ought to be allowed for sacred PPPPs, as Oberlin College has confirmed, and that the Central Park Five received a payoff of over $40 million for participating in the brutal rape that nearly killed Trisha Meili, don’t be surprised if these lowlifes get the $10 million. Gallego is probably disappointed that they didn’t ask for more.
