Outlook

Drier air filtering in from the west will persist today. Typical summertime afternoon and evening thunderstorms will likely return Thursday through much of the weekend under a shallow ridge of high pressure over the southeast. A cold front arriving from the north very late in the weekend will likely dissipate over the southeast. Hot and humid high pressure will set up Monday through Tuesday.
