Atlantic Coast Pipeline endangers W.Va. waters!

The state Dept. of Environmental Protection is taking public comments on a critical water pollution permit for the proposed fracked-gas pipeline, which would cut through four counties in the state — threatening dozens of streams and rivers — on its 600-mile path through Va. and N.C.

Coal spill in West Virginia

Last month, a coal processing plant in West Virginia illegally discharged more than 5,000 gallons of toxic coal slurry into a nearby creek, ultimately causing two public drinking water utilities to temporarily shut down.
