Phoenix Resurrection

The debate continues over exactly what the truth is behind the sightings of anomalous objects that are above the Earth. The U.S. Air Force has explained on many occasions that a lot of what is seen can be explained. However, with the obsession of extraterrestrial mythology and reality, every bright light, shooting star, experimental plane, and weather anomaly can end up on the front pages of tabloid newspapers and on special fringe news programs labeled as bona fide extraterrestrial craft with the acronym UFO attached to it.

However, now we are seeing serious attention being given by mainstream reports and while the narrative has to get over the snicker factor, there is still a question as to why we are now receiving leaks and compelling evidence showing us that the UFO phenomenon is not limited to the United States.

Are we so certain that we are getting any objective information from authorities regarding what is going on in space? Do these cosmic events seem to indicate changes in space and perhaps a preparation for the arrival of an extraterrestrial civilization? Could we be witnessing the beginnings of the disclosure process where we are forced to look up and decide for ourselves if the objects near the sun are really planets, or asteroids, or even brown dwarf stars?

The unusual seems to happen frequently and the impossible is slightly rarer. Because throughout the ages and in every part of the world, the strange and wonderful has been recorded in great detail.

When it comes to UFO sightings, there are those who don’t always believe in the “official version” of events surrounding the incident and with good reason, because there is no official version that is ever given that satisfies the curious.

The “official version” that you hear about is usually nothing more than what is agreed upon, by big money news organizations with hidden agendas. Stories can be changed, altered and sometimes removed because of their sensitive nature. This is not a paranoid delusion, it happens all the time.

There seems to be a misconception that there is a simple or single explanation for the UFO mystery. In 1997, Phoenix, Arizona became acquainted delta shaped megacraft or mother ship that appeared to be black and ominous.

March 13th 1997, will be a day that will be remembered as the day of the most remarkable American UFO sighting ever recorded.

It will be remembered as the Phoenix Lights incident where glowing orbs made a huge triangular formation over a 300-mile corridor from the Nevada line through Prescott Valley and Phoenix to the northern edge of Tucson. Later in the night, a series of bright spheres appeared on the city’s southern horizon. It was later reported that the orbs and the appearance of a mile long triangular aircraft hovering in the night sky were two separate events.

It is important to note there are various descriptions of the lights from the Nevada border throughout Arizona. Some witnesses described a very clear “V” shape, while others said that the lights were circular or crescent-shaped. It is only common in night light cases for these differences to come to light. Many factors can attribute to these varying descriptions.

The “light” description of the event creates in the mind the idea that the sighting was a small event, calling it a massive aerial event is more of an accurate description of what happened.

There is some controversy as to how best to classify the reports on the night in question. Some are of the opinion that the differing nature of the eyewitness reports indicates that several unidentified objects were in the area, each of which was its own separate “event.”

One specific object can be seen from different angles, with the angle of the object only reflecting part of its light system, depending on atmospheric or weather conditions, or the very way a witness looks at the object can make this difference. It is very possible that two witnesses can see the same object at the same time, and give two completely different accounts.

This fact has been proven in scientific studies of eye witnesses accounts in crime cases. Another possibility in the case in point is that there may have been several different objects of different shapes and sizes.

The event was at first ridiculed by local officials as a trick of light and possible flares from nearby Luke air force base. However, it was later revealed by then Governor Fife Symington and Senator John McCain said the UFO threat over Phoenix was very real and to this day both the wedge “Triangular Craft” and the sightings of orbs remain a mystery.

The Phoenix Lights have been arguably the most intriguing UFO sighting to capture the imaginations of not only the citizens of Arizona but also the entire nation as full page stories appeared in USA Today and eyewitness testimony of a large triangular craft was being splashed in bold type.

While many skeptics have attempted to explain the lights away as flares, it must be said that if flares were placed in the area the night of March 13th 1997, they were industrial strength flares. Most common flares that are used are flares that burn approximately 6-10 minutes. The sighting of a huge triangular craft with lights at the base and one at the end lasted over two hours.

The flares also would have had to travel two hundred miles in the same formation. The UFO was sighted flying from Kingman to Tucson. It was also seen in Nevada and in Sonora, Mexico. At first report the craft was reported to be boomerang shaped, and others claimed it was arrowhead shaped and about 100 feet long. Other witnesses said it was much larger. The craft was estimated by pilots to be bigger than several football fields, creeping silently slowing at times to 35mph, with altitudes as low as 300 feet.

Regardless of the data collected, the media has now satisfied itself by stating that the “Mothership” was in fact military flares used in exercises, even though when pressed on the issue Luke AFB denied that any exercises were taking place until the UFO story went completely out of control.

Even Governor Fife Symington made light of the issue when at a press conference stated that he had a special agent appointed to look into the issue.

The press was all gathered for the truth when a man in an exaggerated alien costume appeared thus tainting the investigation into whether or not a huge craft was sighted by anxious observers.

After criticizing the account of eyewitnesses he had a change of heart. Several years later he called the lights he saw “otherworldly” after admitting he saw the UFO.

Symington says he saw a large triangular “craft of unknown origin” with lights, moving slowly. “It was dramatic. And it couldn’t have been flares because it was too symmetrical,” he says. “It had a geometric outline, a constant shape.”

Arizona Senator John McCain, a friend of Symington’s who the former Governor describes as “open-minded,” acknowledged at a 2000 press conference that lights were seen over Arizona. “That has never been fully explained. He went on to say that there was no evidence of aliens.

He also made a formal request to the USAF to officially investigate the ‘Phoenix Lights’ incident.

Nearly 20 years later a report has not been publically disclosed.

Frances Barwood was on the Phoenix City Council when the famous mass UFO sighting occurred in 1997. When the media questioned her about it, she asked the rest of the council, because she had not heard about it. They ignored her, and her request to look into the incident. She then set out to find witnesses to the case and has been openly speaking about what happened the night of the event.

Janet Napolitano called for an investigation into the Phoenix Lights incident during her 1997 campaign to become Arizona’s Attorney General and was elected to that office in 1998.

She has not disclosed any information on the incident or has not revealed what answers she received about the UFO sighting.

News of the sighting traveled fast, so a large number of people were outside with video cameras when the second happened in the sky southwest of Phoenix. A string of lights appeared in the sky, and slowly sank until they disappeared behind the nearby Estrella Mountain range.

The Department of Defense, in response to the torrent of inquiries about the incident, responded by saying it was the deployment of LUU-2B/B rescue flares, deployed by USAF aircraft–in this case Fairchild-Republic A-10C Thunderbolt IIs flying a training mission over the Barry Goldwater range.

While the explanation seems plausible, investigations and research over the years have now proven that there was something else in the sky over Arizona that night, and a specific, named operation to launch to provide suitable cover.

The Ground Zero radio show had only been on the air for two years and this appeared to be the biggest news story about UFO’s at the time. I was fortunate enough to have an Air Force pilot stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah designing my website at the time. He had connections to the Janet Flights out of Area 51 and S-4 data. He was able to contact a friend of his at Luke Air Force Base.

He was a little overwhelmed about the incident because he said that flights at Luke were restricted after 7:00 PM Arizona time.

When representatives at Luke AFB were asked by reporters about the incident they claimed that they received no calls about strange lights on the night in question—even though it was reported that they were giving out the number of the National UFO reporting center to urgent inquiries.

They claimed that they did not send up any jets, even though later that what people were seeing were flares dropped by USAF aircraft and they do not fly jets at night unless they have special operations.

In 2000, the Department of Defense maintained that it could not find any information about the triangular object, in response to a court-ordered search requested by a U.S. District court in Phoenix, as part of a class action suit filed by witnesses.
