There Is Now a Stormy Daniels Comic Book

Every now and again, the weirder parts of the internet will fall out of the cloud, hit every stupid branch it can on the way down, and wind up nestled into my poor inbox.

In this case, the ridiculous thing I found was a new comic book by Tidal Wave comics featuring Stormy Daniels as the lead heroine who fights the Trump administration.

No, I’m not kidding. Here are the covers.

Tidal Wave is a company known for creating biographical comics about real life people. According to the press release, Daniels’ story is the latest in the “Political Power” series, which makes her out to sound like a feminist superhero:

Stephanie Clifford (stage name Stormy Daniels) rose from the strip clubs of Baton Rouge to the top of the adult film industry. Today, however, she is best known as the woman at the center of a hush money scandal involving the president of the United States. Through threats, lawsuits, and politically motivated arrests Clifford has refused to back down in her demand that the president be held responsible for his actions.  Witness her journey from scrappy opportunist to unlikely feminist icon in the newest issue of Political Power!

Writer and artist Joe Paradise says of the comic that he was inspired to write these comics after the news of Trump attempting to silence Daniels began making the rounds.

So, when the story first broke that Trump had cheated on his third wife with a porn star I didn’t think anyone would bat an eye. Then the hush money story came out. Then the accounts of threats on her life and her daughter’s life came out. All while Trump is on TV denying any of this ever happened. That was the moment that inspired me to write this story. Why on earth is Donald Trump, of all people, trying to hide an extramarital affair? The man who brags about grabbing women by their private parts, because he can, because he’s a famous celebrity. Between the ludicrous denial of the Daniels affair and the accounts of what’s contained in the steel dossier I started to think there might be something else going on.

So there you have it, folks. The weirdest thing you’re going to find on the internet today.
