In East Germany they had an inner and outer fence/wall with a road and ditch to stop vehicles.

Leaving the rest of the funding for cameras, dogs, at least 200 compounds for towers and personel barracks plus detention facilities with medical and helipad.
Most if not all of the rest woud pay Ranch owners for confiscated land.
Apparently the wall is already 2/3 built with a patchwork of full cement block walls, the Border Forces preferred slat fence which nobody could afford and at the moment the US army with razor wire.
Currently the wall is complete and manned with the US army presence, around $5 billion was needed possibly double and if the prefered wall went up you would be looking at the Border Forces $56 bilion wall which would need a second internal one to stop criminals in the US from blasting holes, making tunnels etc where the majority of the land is unsuitable for a fixed concrete emplacement. Border security is genralised at the moment and the US senate will only fund $1.7 billion a year for it, and no wall, thats the whole US.

The key to security is that there is not one fixed wall, but an onion layer of defense, outer, inner walls and hardening of security within a border zone where ranches and homes get security fences from the state, there are roadblocks and searches with traffic monitoring at which point there is a definate fall in the number of US ranchers falling prey to MI13 who use their property to traffic across the border., but you dont care.

And every elected member of congress and the Senate dont care about the deficit either, nor has the majority of the US electorate. Cut’s Cut’s Cut’s has not been heard on any election rally since ever really.
