The Damascus Army foiled an attempt by terrorists who were trying to penetrate into government forces’ military positions in Northern Hama over the past 24 hours.

The terrorist groups stationed in Northern Syria continued their provocative moves against the Syrian army, forcing into failure an agreement reached by Russia and Turkey on the establishment of a demilitarized zone.

The Syrian Army units stationed in the surrounding area of Shaliot village, North of Mahradeh, prevented the terrorists of Jeish al-Izzah from infiltrating into government forces’ positions from al-Zukah village.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The terrorist groups stationed in Northern Syria continued their provocative moves against the Syrian army, forcing into failure an agreement reached by Russia and Turkey on the establishment of a demilitarized zone.

The Syrian Army units stationed in the surrounding area of Shaliot village, North of Mahradeh, prevented the terrorists of Jeish al-Izzah from infiltrating into government forces’ positions from al-Zukah village.

The Jeish al-Izzah terrorists sustained heavy losses in the army attacks on their positions. The Syrian Army also destroyed the terrorists’ military equipment and hardware forcing the remaining terrorists to retreat.

The Syrian Army’s artillery units also targeted the military positions and movements of the militants in the surroundings of al-Latamanieh, al-Zukah, Lahaya, Mourek, al-Sokhr, al-Janabereh and Kafar Zita in Northern Hama, destroying several military positions of the terrorists.

In Southeastern Idlib, the Syrian Army units also targeted the terrorists in Sakik, Tavil al-Halib and Katibeh al-Mahjoureh region, inflicting heavy losses among them.

Meantime, the Syrian army dispatched massive military convoys to Northern Syria to confront the terrorist groups who have intensified their attacks on government forces’ military positions from the demilitarized zone.

Idlib

The Syrian Army is reportedly preparing for final orders to launch military operations in Idlib as more and more military convoys are arriving in the battlefields in Northern Syria.

Battlefield sources said that the Syrian Army has dispatched a military convoy comprising tens of Syrian soldiers together with over 10 military and armored vehicles as well as heavy weaponry to Sahl al-Ghab in Northwestern Hama from Hama military airport.

The sources, meantime, said that another Syrian Army military convoy has been dispatched to a military point in Western Aleppo to confront the terrorist groups.

Meantime, the Arabic-language al-Youm news website reported that according to information, the Syrian army, with the support of the Syrian-Russian air forces, is preparing for a major rapid operation in the outskirts of Idlib.

The sources noted that the Syrian Army’s preparations for launching military operations near Idlib is taking place at a time when Al-Nusra Front terrorists are still present in the demilitarized zone and the negotiations between Russia and Turkey on Idlib has reached a deadlock.

It further pointed to the preparedness of 45,000 Syrian troops in the outskirts of Idlib, and said that the Syrian army’s military operations might start from Northwestern Hama (Sahl al-Ghab and Western Idlib), which comes under continuous attacks by Tahrir al-Sham and Jeish al-Izzah, and followed by another operation in Southwestern Aleppo.

Deir Ezzur

The US has not yet withdrawn troops or equipment from Northern Syria, media outlets said on Monday, adding that Washington has even dispatched more military convoys to the region.

The US has dispatched hundreds of military trucks comprising weapons and military equipment to Deir Ezzur province in Eastern Syria since President Donald Trump declared his decision to withdraw troops from the country, the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

The SOHR said that a military convoy comprising a sum of 150 trucks carrying cars and logistic military equipment has been dispatched to the regions under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) specially on Eastern Euphrates from the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

The SOHR noted that it was the third US military convoy sent to Syria after Trump’s decision on exit of the American troops from Syria, and said that a total number of 500 trucks containing weapons and military equipment have been dispatched to Eastern Syria so far.
