Bible Reveals That Unbelievers Do Not Burn in Hell For Ever and Ever.

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Most people have been taught or have heard somewhere that if you don’t believe in Jesus you will burn in hell forever.   I have spoken to many people that believe this and their comments are always similar.  “What kind of God would take pleasure in watching people burn in hell forever?”  Or, “How come God gave me the right to choose and then punishes me for exercising my right to choose?”  And these are very valid arguments.  So what does the Bible say about this?   Do unbelievers really burn in the lake of fire forever?

There is only one scripture that confirms this.   All the rest do not.  Therefore, since the Bible does not contradict itself, let’s see if we can understand the difference.  The scripture that says this is:

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.  Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world…..Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels….then they will go away to eternal punishment.

The rest of the scriptures do not say this.   They say that unbelievers will perish.  For example:  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  Or this one  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.   Or this one  …and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.   They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.   So what this and many other scriptures say is that if you believe in Jesus you will have eternal life, and if you don’t you will perish.  What does perish mean?  It means to exist no more or to be destroyed.  So those who chose not to believe in God or Jesus will NOT burn in hell forever, they will perish or exist no more.   In other words, this life is all they get.   But for those who do believe in Jesus, they go on to live forever.

So what about the other scripture that says that some will be cast into the eternal lake of fire.   Why don’t they just perish?   Is God being unfair?   Does he have favourites?   No, God is being perfectly fair.  Let me explain.  When Jesus comes back to judge the nations it will be at the END of the Tribulation.  Then he will assemble all nations and judge them.  The ones who are cast into the lake of fire are the ones who have taken the “mark of the beast” and who have worshipped the image of the beast.   The other unbelievers have not.  This is the difference.  In Revelation Chapter 13 right after the NWO leader establishes his one world government, religion, and monetary system, he forces everyone to take the mark and worship the image or be killed.  But God in his love and mercy immediately sends an angel to fly through the sky and proclaim in a loud voice to all who live on the earth Don’t Do It.   Don’t take the mark and don’t worship the image or you will spend eternity in the lake of fire.  So what else can God do if even after warning them they still choose to take the mark?  He told them what would happen, now they have to accept the consequences of their decision.   He tried to warn them but they would not listen.  And that’s why only these people spend eternity in the lake of fire.   My personal opinion is that the reason for this is because it has something to do with the mark.  Taking the mark will in some way change those that take it to where they cannot go to heaven even if they repent later.   As we get closer to that time and know what the mark is, we will probably understand the reason better, but it must be something irreversible for God to go to that extent to warn the entire world regarding it.

“Therefore, since the Bible does not contradict itself,” = You don’t know the bible.

It is one big contradiction from beginning to end. Eg. All knowing + free will = Oxymoron. All powerful + can be beaten with chariots of iron = Oxymoron. All compassionate + into infinite torture for piffling misnomers = Oxymoron.

The list of contradictions is huge and profound.

“The list of contradictions is huge and profound”

Like those found in an individual who claims to be a man but spends “his” time on here like a scorned woman with an axe to grind, taking digs at people with faith.

        Bravo “sir”… Bravo

        • Jason Bourne

really? how did you even think of something so dumb to type on here?

        • Pix

I spend minutes on BIN per day, not all day. If you don’t like the sound of my grinding axe, stop serving up lies dressed up as truth.

It’s all academic in any case seeing as Heaven is hotter that Hell.

The temperature of Heaven as described in the bible: “Moreover, the light of the Moon shall be as the light of the Sun and the light of the Sun shall be sevenfold as the light of seven days”. Isaiah 30.26

Thus, Heaven receives from the Moon as much radiation as the Earth does from the Sun, and in addition seven times seven (49) times as much as the Earth does from the Sun, or 50 time in all.

Using the Stefan-Boltzmann fourth power law for radiation (H/E)pwr4=50, where E is the absolute temperature of the earth, 300 degrees K (273+27). This gives H, the absolute temperature of heaven as 798 degrees K, absolute (525 degrees C).

The temperature of Hell as described in the Bible: “But the fearful and unbelieving… shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.” Revelation 21.8

A lake of molten brimstone (sulfur) means that its temperature must be at or below boiling point, which is 444.6 degrees C, (Above that point it would be a vapour, not a lake.)

We have then, temperature of Heaven 525 degrees C. Temperature of Hell, less than 445 degrees C. Therefore Heaven is hotter than Hell.

You won’t sit still long enough to debate anything you detest. Just a quick fap and run….

I’m not going to lie Pix.

I STILL love you regardless of your FIRM decision to plant your head up your own icelandic ass.

Somebody needs to. Blind faith destroys all who partake of it. Use your mind. It’s legal and not a sin.

Not true at all. I post comments, it’s up to you if you want to counter argue. But don’t tell me I don’t debate when you say things like “I STILL love you regardless of your FIRM decision to plant your head up your own icelandic ass.”

WTF.. You love me and I have my head up my ass,…. what’s to debate exactly, your mental age?

      • Andoron

Omniscience and freewill is not an oxymoron. In His omniscience His plans work out perfectly, knowing the choices in advance we will make. The choice; however, is ours to make. God willingly laid down His life, nobody can take it from him. His compassion has been proven by His coming down and dying for our sins. What you’re overlooking is God is also a just God. God in His perfect justice cannot allow sin to enter His kingdom. He likens the unbeliever to chaff, a waste product fit to be burned. Would you allow sewer water into your drinking fountains? Same difference.

        • Who dat

His compassion is an oxymoron as well. Compassion is not burning folk, he doesn’t sound like a nice guy. It would be like following Barry to the grave, he says he has compassion yet kill is his favourite word. I hope your right just so when you get there he says ‘what the fk were you thinking’?

      • tsimitpo

I guess it depends on the assumptions you make. One man’s “contradiction” is another’s confirmation. For me, the Bible confirms itself over and over and contradiction is my own misunderstanding of the parts that don’t seem to fit.

Good luck in your journey of discovery.

        • Tribe of the LION of Judah

Would you like to explain how the following is not a contradiction ?
          Y’shua commands His own:
NOT to exercise authority over one another, and
NOT to use titles, “for you are all brothers”.

The words in Paul’s letters are 100% opposite of Y’shua,
          concerning those major subjects.
Words in Paul’s letters are full of Nicolatian Hierarchy,
with commands from Paul ( what a joke ), and titles ta boot,
bishop, deacon, elder, pastor, prophet, evangelist, teacher, leader ( blasphemy),
apostle…..and on and on it goes_all from the words in Paul’s letters.

Please tell how this is NOT a contradiction, besides pure anti_Anointed One and HIS words ?

        • HumanBeing

Tribe of the LION of Judah, what makes you think those are all positions of authority? Paul did NOT teach hierarchy, and this is much clearer in the Greek. I wrote a whole book about it: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004KAAZ1K

God is love. Love is forgiveness. If you love, truly love with all your heart, then forgiveness of others will come naturally and your light, and the light of God will shine upon that person and work them closer towards redemption.

We have free will, we have the ability to make decisions for ourselves and if those decisions are centered around love and service to others, then we are closer to God through our actions. If not, we endure the karmic consequence of what we do. If not in this life, then the next one. Energy is not created nor destroyed, and all debts must be paid before one can return to God. This is the ultimate forgiveness and the ultimate compassion.

It’s also the reason why the bible never mentions hell. Because there’s nothing worse than someone’s own judgement against himself for selfish behavior and action, and also nothing more loving than forgiveness and the opportunity for redemption.

Follow the words of Christ. Understand his love, and place yourself in service to others whenever you possibly can. Forgive people who have wronged you, and offer redemption when possible.

        • friends2you

Not sure why you got a negative as I find your comment well written. Let us forgive that person, love is not with them. Much anger here against one another and the adversary is laughing at all his pawns. What better laugh than religions masses killing each other in the name of GOD, yes it is the adversaries greatest laugh. Just read what people are writing and you will see. NWO has got most of them already and they don’t even know it. You however mention something note worthy.

      • MG

NM, you figured it out but you still can’t see it.

You’re all reading the Bible the wrong way.

The bible is two stories, with two sets of rules.

The ten commandments are the rules to control the ewe.

Reverse them and you are the rulers of the world. Mirror images. The 11.

There is the path of the light, and there is the path of the darkness.

Go back to the Bible and do a search. What are the different names of GOD?

ONLY GOD created the heavens and the earth.

The LORD God isn’t GOD, he’s something else.

The Lord, isn’t GOD, he’s something else.

The LORD THY GOD is ARES, the god of war.

See they removed the separation so they the Rulers of the earth could control you.

The bible is the mirrored image story or “How too book” of controlling the ewe.

        • NM

          MG,

To add to your thoughts, I suspect that it is NOT a coincidence that El and 13 are mirrors of each other.

( MG I can barely see anything these days other than my own ignorance )

      • sarah

The Bible, when read with understanding, has zero contradictions.

If you want understanding, pray and ask God to reveal himself to you, when you read and study his word, the Bible.

        • Pix

Sorry there is no arguing against the contradiction of an all knowing creator and us having free will. One would rule out the other, because if the future was known for a fact, we would have no choice other than to follow the known future exactly like a preprogrammed Sim. If we did something else, you’ve just proved IT’s not all knowing.

          It’s an oxymoron.

“All you are stating is that these things are contradictions UNLESS he was guilty of something. Christianity is based on guilt.”

A contradiction is an impossibility in any situation. Eg ‘ pretty ugly’, ‘open secret’, it cannot be both under any circumstances.

If you’re an honest person, no disrespect, read Henry M Morrises book the Bible has the answer . He is a scientist and is the president of a nonprofit called the Institute for creation research he received his PhD from the University of Minnesota served on the faculties of major universities for 28 years. All of your so-called contradictions are answered quite easily. Unfortunately every new generation gets told by someone lies or false hoods that of already been proven wrong so they have to be re-told over and over . Of the large mistakes people make is interpreting scripture in the Bible isn’t one book at 66 books written by 40 different people over 1500 years unlike the other four world religions , except Judaism of course, ironically a complete copy of the book of Isaiah under glass in Jerusalem written about 300 years before Christ was born . Including chapter 53. If you understand anything about probability and statistics, it would be impossible for anybody to predict what Isaiah wrote and then it come true in the life of one man

    • FusedNail

If you’re a Christian, you must believe Jesus is still alive and out there somewhere. Most so called christians still talk about him in the past tense like he’s dead and gone. Nobody calls them out on it.

      • plsnogod

because it is the irrelevant talking about the imagined.

    • Moment Of Faith

Jesus says if you don’t believe in me you will die in you sins , you will die in your sins. In Matthew 25 what happens to the goats ??

And it’s no contradictions in the bible

Your Were Called Out Of The Darkness To Seek The Image Of Truth… You were Told To Pick Up Your Own Cross And To Come Into the Light Of Jesus Christ… A Light Within A Light… The Word CROSS… Christ Resurrects Only Spiritual Souls… Denying Your Brothers Is Denying Jesus Christ for what you do to them you do also to him…

If you fail to pick up your own cross ie your carcass your soul and bring it to him you are unknown to yourself and to him…

And ye shall perish first you lose that carcass and your spirit is cut loose… And your spirit is cast into the abyss ie the space of darkness without a body of Christ…

    • Purple Mike

If someone reads the bible and interprets contradictions, then the bible is not for you and God probably does not know you. Further, the first circle of hell is reserved for non-believers where their is neither punishment nor the inheritance of God’s promise.

    • Alatheia

Anyone with eyes, common sense, & an ounce of intelligence can see Revelations being played out this very moment.
      Nations will rise against nations
There will be floods, fires, & mass destruction
Men will love themselves & worship themselves
There will be a one world “government” (in that process now)

I mean…there is so much more proof if you actually just sit down & read it.

Plus, life is more complex then we could ever begin to understand. We only know what we have experienced our selves, anything outside of that we deny to be an issue, true, false. Etc. Like eternal life…its hard for us to comprehend because all we have ever known is a beginning & an end.
All knowing + Free Will isn’t an Oxymoron at all. He knows what you will choose but he still gives you a choice in that time in your life. We can’t possibly fully understand this though because it is beyond our intelligence to understand. How can you hate someone but love them at the same time? It is possible but its also an oxymoron.

Point being, we are in Revelations now. Read it with an open mind & you will see. Regardless of WHAT you believe, the truth will always be. Not believing in something doesn’t mean it wont be true. Just like believing in something wont make it true. What is will always be regardless of you or me & our “beliefs”

      From the article:

“Do unbelievers really burn in the lake of fire forever?
There is only one scripture that confirms this. All the rest do not.”

You are incorrect and are spreading disinformation. It is not only those who receive the mark of the beast who will burn in the lake of fire forever, but the unbelievers throughout the ages, all whose names are not written in the book of life.

“Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.”
      —Matthew 18:8

43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
      —Mark 9:43-48

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
      —Isaiah 66:22-24

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
      —Revelation 20:15

      • HereAmI

am123 makes the classic mistake of confusing an everlasting fire with everlasting items thrown into it. “Our God is a CONSUMING fire”. This means that the fire of God consumes things. They do not survive in this fire; only the fire is eternal, because it is the nature of God, as the scripture reveals.
Malachi 4 reveals that the unbeliever is turned to ash. Ash has no sentience.
The essential thing to understand is that God has performed a perfect work in the death of His Son. This Son died for the sins of the whole world; His was a perfect sacrifice. As He was punished for every sin, then God cannot rightfully judge anyone else for anything. “It is finished”.
There is absolutely NO possibility that God will create a new heaven and a new earth, some small corner of which is devoted to eternal torment. Isaiah 66 , 24 refers to corpses, worms eat them, the eternal fire dances upon them, but they are not sentient; they are dead. They are there as a reminder of past things.
Indeed, we all understand on some level that eternal punishment would be unendurable for finite creatures such as ourselves.
Those who do not repent, and seek the forgiveness which only the Lord Jesus Christ can offer, will be simply terminated. Those of a vindictive nature will not find this acceptable to them; they secretly want unbelievers to be punished. But God is love. He seeks only that the wicked turn from their way, and live.
“They shall be as though they had not been”. Think deeply about what this scripture implies.
“The dead praise not the Lord, nor any that go down into silence.”
“His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, in that very day, his thoughts perish”.
This latter psalm is essentially the exact counterweight to Genesis 2, 7; where we learned about the creation of a sentient creature, man, from nothing. Man can also go back into the nothing from whence he sprang.
If your thoughts perish, it is extremely difficult to be simultaneously being aware of being punished.
God’s wisdom is perfect, His power is everlasting, His thoughts and ways are as far above our own as the heavens are above the earth.
Eternal torment in hell is a Roman Catholic heresy designed purely to extract money from the gullible.
“Yea, let God be true, but every man a liar”.
God’s purpose is to refine the dull dross of earth in order to reveal the pure gold which lies hidden therein. He is not interested in the slag which rises to the top, only in the gold. This is what He will reveal; a people for His Name, a peculiar people, a royal priesthood, a chosen generation.
I believe that the wailing and gnashing of teeth seen at the Last Day will be because those who go to the left of the Son of God will realise the blissful future they have scorned; it will not be because they are terrified of the fate which awaits them, which is eternal extinction.

        • am123

I have to disagree HereAmI because for example, if people were consumed as you claim they will be, they would find relief from their torment. But Revelation 14:11 tells us those thrown into the lake of fire will not find any relief from their torment, day or night, forever and ever. Eternal torment is also reinforced by Isaiah 66:24.

Revelation 14:10 tells us that those who receive the mark of the beast will drink the wrath of God, which will be poured out in full measure. The full measure of God’s wrath is not torment that lasts for a finite period, but torment that lasts forever.

        • chefjim

You are speaking lies from the pit of hell. The “no eternal hell doctrine” or the “annihilation” doctrine is of the devil and everything you have said about the real doctrine of hell is wrong. You have twisted the scripture to say what you want it to say and then blame the very doctrine of hell on those who rightly divide the word of truth; those who you say believe in hell eternal are “vindictive” and want to see people burn forever.

Sorry, I can’t see any other way than the truth that there is an eternal hell in which the unbelievers will suffer eternal torments because THAT IS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS.

I have family that is unsaved and I pray to God continually that they don’t burn in Hell forever. My own mother and father whom I love are agnostics and don’t believe in Jesus Christ that He died and rose from the grave to save us from the penalty of sins…death in hell which lasts forever. We are commanded to pray for unbelievers because we KNOW Truth and we don’t twist scripture like you have…

[I believe that the wailing and gnashing of teeth seen at the Last Day will be because those who go to the left of the Son of God will realise the blissful future they have scorned; it will not be because they are terrified of the fate which awaits them, which is eternal extinction.]

Chapter and verse on that one would be helpful. Your attempt to nullify the redemptive work of Christ is evident and is a complete heresy and that is what you are attempting to do; nullify the work of Christ! Christ died to SAVE US FROM HELL. Do you think if it wasn’t serious (as hell is very serious) that God would have sent His Only Begotten, Precious Son to die that terrible death????? Repent of this heretical teaching because you will one day find yourself attempting to explain to God how you changed His word and made it say what you wanted it to say instead of reading and rightly dividing it and moreover, teaching others your heresy!

        • !@# sorry

        Not necessarilly so.
What many people call “love is mere emotionalism.
Even many Christians these days err in this way — that if it seems nice, do it.
Yet, Jesus Christ said His way was to take up your cross, daily, while following Him.
The REAL love of God is a “cross”: it is often not easy.
Fact is, it is often difficult & takes effort to do what is REAL love & truly good.

Consider: how many young parents cannot discipline their children?
They give too much candy that rots their teeth out — it feels nice to make the kids happy, right?
Maybe they have a small kid that won’t listen about playing in the street.
Oh no, spanking doesn’t feel loving or nice,….so the little kid gets run over by a car one day.
How loving was that? Not very.

    • HARLEYXX

The “Lake of Fire” is symbolic of complete destruction. That is why things that are immaterial such as “death and Hades”, are also cast into that same lake of fire, also known as “Gehenna”. They simple cease to exist for all eternity.

    • HARLEYXX

The doctrine that hell is a place of torment is not based on the Bible. Rather, it is a pagan belief masquerading as a Christian teaching.

    • am123

Many ask if God is love, how can God cast anyone into hell forever?

Yes, God is a God of love, but God is also a God of justice. The Bible tells us that God will reward believers with eternal life in His kingdom and cast unbelievers into the lake of fire for eternity. One might say that even someone like Hitler would be punished enough after burning in the lake of fire for thousands or millions of years. One could make the argument that a just God could come up with some formula that would determine the length of time any individual spent burning in hell for the sins they committed in their life. However, if God did that, coming up with an equation to calculate the time someone would spend in torment based on the sins they committed in their earthly life, then to be fair, for those who are saved, God would have to come up with an equation to calculate the time they would partake in the glorious kingdom of God based upon whatever good they may have done in their life. In such a scenario, torment and rewards would be for a finite period of time and based upon works. However, this is not what God promises. God speaks about eternal damnation and eternal rewards. If you make the argument that a person who sinned doesn’t deserve eternal punishment, then that argument is counterbalanced by the fact that whatever good a person may have done in their lifetime doesn’t merit an eternal reward. So God balances the scale of justice by weighing eternal damnation on one side against eternal reward on the other. Whether we like it or not, what we will be dealing with in the afterlife is eternity.

I for one am glad that God hands out eternal sentences because I can look forward to ruling and reigning with Jesus for all time to come (see REV 22:5)! Hallelujah!

am123, do not add to, or subtract from, the Word of God. You have added to the Word; take care lest He add to you the things which are written in the Book.
You write; and you say that it is written,
“… and cast unbelievers into the lake of fire for eternity…”
        but God writes
“..was cast into the Lake of Fire.”
You have added “for eternity”. This is not written in the Word.
You are implying eternal burning. You are wrong.
        see Rev 20, 15.

The Bible does tell us that the torment in the lake of fire (the second death) is forever:

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

          —REV 20:10-15

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
          — REV 21:8

am123 is not adding or taking away. Anyone who changes hell into a temporary place when the word of God says unmistakably, over and over, ad nauseum that hell is real and the sinner or unrepentant will spend ETERNITY suffering in it is adding or taking away. God is implying eternal burning. YOU are wrong.

      • eatmorevegetables

I would have a different answer to that question am123…it may be like this:

When you die, you are given perfect understanding and knowledge of everything. Sort of how some new age people believe you return to the “source” (same as going before God), and with that comes clarity (the light) about all things that have transpired (the truth) including perhaps how you were a twisted instrument of evil. And when you recognize how you were and what you are, you can only realize that you are the one corrupting that (all of creation) which could otherwise have been perfection, or at least closer to perfection had you acted differently. If the realization is unbearable, you may want to remove yourself from this light. In that case, you will “cast yourself” away, and that state of being removed from all things good, is what hell is.

What is unique about the Christian faith is that it recognizes that people are never worthy of perfection. Only that which always was, is, an will be perfect can be worthy of the experience. But like a friend or family member who pays a debt that you cannot pay, so has Jesus paid a debt that we can never afford… so in that case, going to hell would be like you telling your friend, I cannot let you pay this debt, it is too great… but the Christian believes Jesus can pay it, in fact, that He is the only one who can pay it, if you choose to let Him.

God’s love, mercy, justice, truth, light, goodness, etc. are never compromised in this scenario.

Remember the manuscripts come from the divine source and translations come from man source and so the chose of translated words can have the appearance of contradiction, For those who truly love the truth it is not impossible to reconcile the differences but for the non believers, truth to them is not understood.

    • larry

I used to think I had all the answers too, then one day I learned a simple fact and that is that God does not think the same way man does. What you may believe to be fair or unfair is not really important.

You either believe or you don’t, and if you don’t throw your Bible in the trash and be done with it. If you do then believe with all your heart and soul and honor God.

      Hell Fire Is Real

Matthew 13:42 Jesus Christ said the lost will finally be cast “into a furnace of fire.”
Matthew 3:12 John the Baptist said the lost will end up in “unquenchable fire.”
Punishment for Sin and “Hell” Is Future – Not Now

Matthew 13:40 “As the weeds are gathered and burned in the fire, so will it be at the end of this world.”
Matthew 25:41 Jesus Christ sends the lost into the fire after His Second Coming.
2 Peter 2:9 God will “reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.”
Revelation 20:11-13 The day of judgment occurs at the end of the 1000 years.
Revelation 20:5a, 13-15 The “lake of fire” occurs at the end of the 1000 years.
The Final Hell Fire Will Be On Planet Earth

2 Peter 3:7 “The heavens and the earth which are now … are reserved unto fire.”
2 Peter 3:10 “The earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”
Revelation 20:8-9 At the end of the 1000 years, “They [the lost] went up on the breadth of the earth … and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.”
Hell Will Totally Destroy All the Wicked, Even Satan!

Psalms 37:20 “The wicked shall perish … they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.”
Psalms 37:38 “Transgressors will be destroyed together.”
Ezekiel 28:15, 18-19 Even Satan will become “ashes” on the “earth” as a result of the fire.
Malachi 4:1, 3 The “day cometh” when the lost “burn up” and become “ashes.”
John 3:16 Those who are lost will “perish.”
Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is “death,” not eternal life burning in hell.
Matthew 3:12 “Unquenchable fire” will totally “burn up” the wicked.
Matthew 10:28 “Fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Revelation 21:8; 20:14 “The lake of fire … is the second death.”
Even The Lake of Fire Will “Pass Away”

Revelation 20:7-9 At the end of the 1000 years, the lost are “the earth.”
Revelation 20:9 God’s fire falls on them, and they are “devoured.”
Revelation 20:14-15 The earth becomes one big “lake of fire” as God purifies it from sin. The lost suffer the “second death” in that lake.
Revelation 21:1 Then there is a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth (where the lake of fire was) has passed away.
Revelation 21:4 In the New Earth, there will be no more pain, suffering, sorrow, or death.

Note: If the lake of fire burned forever, there would always be pain and sorrow somewhere in the universe and Revelation 21:4 could never come true. But it is true. Sin will be gone forever and pain will cease to exist throughout God’s entire universe!
Where Did The Doctrine Of Eternal Burning Originate?

Genesis 3:4 The doctrine of souls burning forever is rooted in the idea that “the soul can’t die.” That idea originated with the serpent who told Eve and Satan’s lieEve that if she sinned, she would “not surely die.” But God said she would die (Genesis 2:16-17). God of course told the truth.
1 Corinthians 15:50-55 Only true Christians receive “immortality” at the Second Coming.
1 Timothy 6:16 God “alone has immortality.”
Revelation 20:11-15 The lost finally suffer the “second death” at the end of the 1000 years.

      • HereAmI

        Excellent points, craigevil.
One should always distinguish between a fire which burns something up very quickly, and the “eternal fire”, which is what remains after the wicked have long since lost any sentience, and which is merely the sine qua non of God Himself.
The only way in which I disagree with you is in not believing in a literal 1000 year reign of Christ upon a devastated earth. We are warned against this belief by Peter, ( 2 Peter 3, 8 ) and again, implicitly two verses later, when he states
“But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief, IN THE WHICH the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat….”
The Day of the Lord immediately follows the rapture of the saints to the New Earth, where they join the Lord, as He informed us at John 14, 1-3.
ie “I will receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also”
Even in human terms, this makes total sense. The saints would not wish to be on an earth which is burning with the unquenchable fire of God’s Final Judgement. They will not be drifting around in clouds, but firmly and eternally ensconced upon their new home.
For those who might wonder how it will be achieved that the earth will melt with fervent heat, be advised that stars ( which are merely cold dark bodies within themselves ) are kept burning by their wiring together via the so-called Birkeland Currents which join them. They may be switched on or off just like light bulbs according to God’s eternal purposes; this is why there was a darkness over the whole earth for three hours during the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ; the sun was switched off. ( Eclipses can only endure for a few minutes of so-called “totality”. ) The Electric Universe w/s provides many more details.

“Hell Will Totally Destroy All the Wicked, Even Satan!”

Not true at all. Here the Bible tells us the beast, false prophet, and the Devil will be tormented forever and ever:

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

        craigevil

You are correct, Christ basically says -” at the end of the harvest, take out the trash and burn it”

For God the Father and Jesus Christ to torture a physical human made of flesh and blood for all eternity they must be first changed to immortal. The only reason for doing this would be for satanic pleasure and only other humans and Satan could enjoy this evil.

Any one that could possibly believe God would to want to torture a pathetic worthless human being for all eternity is proving they do not know the Father or the Son.

What is to gain torturing a worthless fellow like Hitler, how would it benefit God? How would it benefit Hitler? Just burn him to ashes and get on with enjoying eternity. Why bother even thinking about Hitler longer then we must?

        • am123

“For God the Father and Jesus Christ to torture a physical human made of flesh and blood for all eternity they must be first changed to immortal. The only reason for doing this would be for satanic pleasure and only other humans and Satan could enjoy this evil.”

          You mean like this?

“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb”

          —REV 14:10

1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

The author of this article seems to be willfully ignorant.
Maybe that is in depseration due to not wanting to depart from some kind of sin, thinking maybe it won’t be so bad after all if a sinning person simply goes “POOF” – out of existence in the end.

Jesus Christ is “the Truth” and the fulfillment of the less perfect old testament teachings.
His words aren’t erronious — why do you think they killed him? He was perfection, up close.
He could not deny His own Truth, His own Self & His perfect Nature.
Jesus could NOT say, “Look, guys, I know you screw up sometimes, so just go ahead & do it.”
In fact, he knew they’d “do it” to Him, eventually, and they did — that’s why He came.
He paid the price for when we could not do things right enough.
All else is by faith that he really did that — that He took our death sentence, then rose again & gives us eternal life by faith in Him.

Yup, some of the old testament stuff might well relate to perishing in THIS lifetime, but Jesus still knew what He was talking about. He was talking about after this life. He reminded His disciples of that when He refused to resist when they came for him. Jesus told Peter He could call in Heavenly troops to stop it, but didn’t, because His Kingdom was not of this world. It was for the world to come, the afterlife. Remember, Peter, James & John had seen Him transfigured into His glorious personna on the mountain not all that long beforehand.

Jesus talked about spiritual things in way that related to warfare and kingdoms. So did others. Why? Because that’s how it is: war between two rival powers: the original Kingdom and the rebels — Satan and his followers. When you serve Christ, He is forgiving when we goof up but keep trying to serve Him. However, if someone serves Satan, they oppose the Kingdom of Heaven, in a sense, militarily. It might not seem like it, but it is. In military acts, there are also guerilla tactics, skirmishes, delaying actions, tactical retreats, small firefights, etc. When people actively rebel and do what they know is wrong, it is like one of those acts in some way: it hinders the things God wants to accomplish on earth. If you serve the wrong kingdom, why expect to not reap the consequences if the kingdom you choose happens to lose?

Yet, there is more, as well.
Suppose a river full of crocodiles lies below a bridge.
Someone might say, PLEASE, you’ve got to stay on the bridge when you cross, or you will die a horrible death.”
So, of course, someone doesn’t believe and decides, “Hey, you can’t tell ME what to do: I’m going to swim across — forget you!”
He then dives into the water only to be attacked by several large crocs! (Yes, he dies…)
What was so cruel about those warnings to stay on the bridge? Nothing.
Rather, they were love, compassion & genuine care. The rebellious swimmer simply didn’t believe.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God, and even that is a gift of God.
God is good to do all He was to try to help people.
God is a holy, just God with many aspects of His Divine nature, and He cannot tolerate evil in His kingdom — that might be like you tolerating a rapist pedophile maniac in your little son’s bedroom at night and doing nothing about it: God can’t & won’t suffer that on His Kingdom or holy presence, Himself, and His justice requires action.
God makes a way for believers, freely, in His mercy.
There IS a coming judgment in which there will be eternal punishment.
Take the bridge, or try to swim the river on your own — it’s your choice.
I prefer the bridge HE made.

    • The Marian Catechist

In order to assert that unbelievers do not enter an afterlife, you would have to deny the immortality of the human soul, which is tantamount to saying that we’re not really human. Each soul, whether a believer or not, is created immortal by God and therefore cannot cease to exist except by a direct act of annihilation by God, which He has never done. A spirit, by its very nature, cannot die because death is the separation of the soul from the body. Since the soul is a spirit, whole and complete in itself, it cannot undergo death. Hence, everyone is immortal in the sense that he or she possesses a spiritual soul which will always exist.

People in hell are stuck there forever. If there were no eternal hell, there would be no point in repenting now would there?

      • sezsue

There is no such thing as an immortal soul.
In Genesis, it said Yahweh formed man from earth and gave him the breath of life, which caused man to become a living soul. Animals are also living souls, animated by the breath of Yahweh, like man.
When we die, the breath of Yahweh that animates us, and makes us a living soul, returns to Him, and our bodies return to the elements of earth.

This is what Scripture says. What will you believe, traditions of men, or our Savior’s word He left to guide us?

Hell was made for the devil and the demonic angels.
It was not formed for man and no man has to go there. It is man’s choice to go there or not.
God Has made a way of escape thru the finished work of His Son Jesus on the cross.
Hell is not the final place, the lake of fire is after the Great White Throne Judgement.
And God takes pleasure in all men returning to Him and that is their choice.
Notice the word choice again. So don’t go blaming God for the poor decisions of man.
      listen,
      Hell is real
      It is hot
You don’t want to go there.

    • Student of Life

Fire sometimes symbolizes the mind, which is a useful tool that enables us to function in the material world. However, one definition of evil is that it is the allowing of the matter aspect to dominate and to take precedence over the spiritual. When mind and matter exclude the spiritual reality, the mind becomes the “slayer of the real”, and those minds who choose this path eventually sever themselves from their spiritual source. They become the soulless ones. When the soul connection is completely and irretrievably lost, there is no longer any choice but for the matter of which the mind is constructed to be returned to the “eternal fire”, or the reservoir from which all “mind stuff” comes, there to lose its individualized identity and become available for reuse in another form.

This is just one of many possible interpretations. Maybe there’s some truth to it, but then again, maybe not.

The notion that people are destroyed has the appearance of logic, but it is nonsense. The Bible record tells us that when a man dies, his body returns to the ground and his Spirit returns to God who gave it – in other words, we are born from above, and like Jesus, came into this world. For the good and evil judges this is just to tough to contemplate, so they make up all sorts of fanciful notions and invent a hell to suit their thesis. The scriptures which seem to contradict are actually the result of poor or deliberately skewed translation according to tradition and not according to knowledge, and the people perish for lack of knowledge and the traditions of men make the Word of God (Jesus) of no effect in their lives. There is one text which sums up the situation perfectly, and which is a stumbling block to many – Romans 11 – this from the Ancient Aramaic – if you rely on the KJV (kill Jesus version) or any other Hell-in-ized bibles you will probably be deceived as they are all leavened to some degree.

When thus their sins are forgiven.”

Revelation 20:15 ‘And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.’
Revelation 21:8 ‘But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.’ (eternal separation from God)
Those that are left behind in the Rapture, if they refuse the Mark, AND confess a belief in Jesus, will not be thrown into the lake. And, if you won’t accept Jesus NOW, why would you accept Him facing death if you do??? During the Tribulation, IF the Holy Spirit is still on the earth, He will be working with the 144,000 sealed Jewish people who will go out & witness to the world. So salvation IS possible during that time, however, it won’t be easy. Also, my Bible tells me that ‘by no other name, can man be saved.’

Believers who take away from the Book of Revelation have much to lose:

      — Revelation 22:19

And believers who say that those who are thrown into the lake of fire will burn for anything less than eternity are taking away from the words in the Book of Revelation:

And I disagree with you regarding the rapture, so let’s just say see you on the other side of the Second Coming!

    • Str8Talker

Folks aren’t happy unless they can find something to blame God for. They want to remake God in their image so they can behave badly. Want to believe hell is fun? Won’t you be surprised… but hey, if you think you are smarter than God, go for it!
It’s not rocket science… if you love God & his son Jesus… you can live in his home called Heaven…where he lives.
If you find God, Jesus and/or the Bible disgusting… no problem, hell’s your place…why? Because Hell is where God does NOT live…

So, get over it… God, Jesus and Heaven are a PACKAGED DEAL! Don’t blame them IF YOU DON’T LIKE THEM…grow some commonsense!

Many atheists today will be Christians tomorrow after they see what’s coming upon the earth. They will remember what we told them over and over about the global government, world leader, a mark in your right hand or forehead.
As they peer out of their windows and see the mayhem unfolding about them. As they crouch in darkness in their homes, caves or wherever…..they will remember our words.

      • chefjim

Sadly, Top Cat, this won’t be enough for them. They will go off to hell shaking their puny fists at God and blaming Him for everything that is not good. They will have eternity suffering for thinking about it WITHOUT any God to try showing them the Truth. They will be in a place that is VOID of God completely and bitterly hopeless. I cringe thinking about it. Aren’t you glad Christ made it so easy to be saved? Just believe in Him that He died for you and rose from the grave and you will be saved. (We can’t add any works whatsoever to our salvation, but we DO because we LOVE God and want to obey Him.)

      Heaven is Hotter than Hell.

Don’t you just love science.

As a recovering Baptist who is currently a spiritualist-universalist-pantheist,I have a few questions for the eternal damnation crowd: How many sins are you forgiven from that you haven’t repented of? How many sins are you forgiven from that you haven’t forgiven in others? And how is eternal punishment for FINITE transgressions any kind of justice? There is no court on earth that is that cruel! The manifest truth is that karma is real and observable, and when I was a Baptist and involved with pentacostalism I saw a lot of people using the name of Jesus to wallpaper over their lack of repentence and unforgiveness, their unlovingness and cruelty, and also using copious amounts of fear to keep their adherants in line.God is love(it’s in The Book) and any one using fear is mongering from the opposite of what God is (can you see the manifest obvious contradiction here?).I went through the hell of all these fears in my childhood and am MUCH better off now that I know God is love, unharmable and also unharming, and that the kingdom of God is within us(also in The Book)

There are many scriptures that describe hell. The rich man that showed no mercy to Lazarus for one. The rich man chose poorly. He set his eyes on the pleasures of this world. But he had all the warnings in the scriptures. He wanted for his brothers to be saved and the Lord told him they had Moses and the prophets. He said they wouldn’t believe and said that if one though were raised from the dead, they would believe. Jesus did bring Lazarus back from the dead and the Pharisees still crucified Jesus. Jesus came back to life and the Jewish leaders paid the Roman guards to say that his body had been stolen.

You need to believe in the existence of heaven and hell. As Jesus said to the Sadducees that did not believe in the resurrection of the dead, ‘you do greatly err.’ They loved their money, position and this world. Too many trade the pleasures of sin for a season instead of eternal life. They fulfill the foreshadow of Esau rejecting his birthright for a bowl of soup.

Do not believe the lie that there is no hell. The bible needs to be understood with spiritual eyes. Let the Holy Spirit instruct you. The Bereans studied for themselves. The simple believe every word. Pilate asked Jesus whether he was king of the Jews. Jesus asked Pilate whether he said that of himself or said it because others told him. You need to know God personally. Let Him shed light as you study the scriptures.

Their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched as we see in the last words written by Isaiah. Jesus said the same three times in Mark 9. The fire is not quenched. How long will you halt between two opinions?

God takes no pleasure that men burn in hell forever. Sin requires an offering of blood. But do you trust in the lamb that shed His blood or do you reject? Today is the day of salvation. You can choose the blood of Christ now to pay for your sins or your own blood later in eternity.

People are angry with God for having hell at all not realizing that he is angry with them as we can see in the last verse of Lamentations.

      • Pix

“There are many scriptures that describe hell. The rich man that showed no mercy to Lazarus for one.”

Lazarus is the Hebrew translation of the Aramaic translation of the Greek translation of the Egyptian name Osiris.

There’s a reporter on BIN who is steadfast in his claim: if you don’t believe that Obama is the anti-christ – there’s no redemption – you’re GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL.

    • Big Craig

struth, you guys will forever argue amongst yourselves over this until the end of days, for what point? you wont be happy until your interpretation is rammed down the throats of others? Do you get a commission on the souls you convert?

You all carry on as if you were there at the time dribbling rhetoric like the keyboard warriors that you are.

Why don’t you get away from said keyboard and go make a difference in your local community, go help the disadvantaged, maybe then your chosen god will look at your with sympathetic eyes instead of holding his head in the palm of his hands wondering wtf?

Sure it isn’t as much fun as publishing your works of fiction and the bum who you help wont give a rats about your ability to spew forth your words of righteousness, truthfully not many people here actually care either, I for one am waiting for a lengthy oracle script to finish so once I submit I will be off to get my asbestos undies and nose plug so I will ready for my sulphur lake front cottage.

And I will leave you with this, the bible has been changed more times then my underwear, but that is fine, I like my smell do you like yours?

    • Hawbs

Yahuah will never and has never been for everlasting torture for humans. i’m not so sure about the fallen angels. they might not be able to die. this would explain the worm that does not die. the demons have infiltrated people to make them sin. we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but we fight the darkness in the SPIRITUAL REALM. i do believe that the bad people will be killed, not tortured forever. keep His Commandments and read your scriptures and you will be just fine. peace.

You are speaking a lie and passing it off as truth. Repent sincerely or you will burn in hell for all eternity after your life on earth is over.

Revelation 20:11-15-Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:6-8-And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Every sinner goes to hell. Only saints/true believers in Jesus avoid going to hell and instead, enter heaven. When the Holy Bible uses the word “perish” that means eternal punishment in hell. Jesus came to save all mankind from going to hell. He bore the sins of all people on the cross, died, and was resurrected. The penalty of sin is death. Only true believers in Jesus/people who repent sincerely of every sin, pursue holiness, and do God’s will will be saved and enter heaven. The rest will go to hell to pay the penalty for their own sins.

    • Amminadab

The wage of sin is death. Not burning is some imaginary place that is taken from pagan beliefs.

Do you believe that the translations of Hell, eternal, have been misinterpreted. Some translations show those words being translated as grave and not hell. Also the root word for eternal was incorrectly translated, before it was called “age” from the root word.

    • Bryan S

Article is completely disingenuous. OP, you can convince yourself all you want that non-believers & unrepentant sinners will not burn in Hell forever, but nothing can be furthest from the truth. The Bible is inundated with passages, verses telling us about the fiery furnace called Hell, and those that will inherit it will burn FOREVER unless they repent, accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior, and live life according to GOD’s will. Jesus Christ, Himself, spoke on the subject of Hell more than any other personality in the Bible.

      Case in point;

In Matthew 3:12 The LORD said, He will gather His wheat [His followers] into the barn, but the chaff [non-believers, unrepentant sinners] he will burn with unquenchable fire.
In Matthew 13:41-42, The LORD said, The Son of man & His angels will gather OUT of His kingdom all causes of sin, and law-breakers, and throw them into the FIERY FURNACE will there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. He repeats the same sentiment in Matthew 13:49-50. In Matthew 18:8, the LORD speaking of things that will cause you to stumble & sin, that it would be better for you enter life [eternal life] crippled & maimed, rather than be thrown into ETERNAL FIRE. In Mark 9:48 Jesus describes Hell as a place where the worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched. And if that is not enough, in Revelation 14:11, He talks about anyone that receives the Mark of the Beast will enter Hell, and “the smoke of their torment goes up forever & ever, and they have no rest day or night.”

I know for many of you, its hard for you to imagine that a GOD of love would send HIS creation to such a miserable, wretched place, but we must understand that GOD is also a GOD of wrath, and HIS wrath is revealed against ALL ungodliness and unrighteousness of man [Romans 1:18].

The truth is…Hell was never created for you and me. It was a place reserved for the fallen angels. But because of man’s disobedience and unwillingness to subscribe the the laws, ordinances of GOD – it is the FINAL abode for many.

    • Tina B

Hello there! Thank you for the article! Very interesting theory! I, myself, still have a long way to go in my Bible studies but wonder what you think of the fact that it reads in Revelation that God will throw hell into the lake of fire which kind of sounds like we go to hell immediately upon death if we dont believe and then we get thrown into the lake of fire (some or most of us maybe?) where our soul will perish forever.

Then he will assemble all nations and judge them. The ones who are cast into the lake of fire are the ones who have taken the “mark of the beast” and who have worshipped the image of the beast. The other unbelievers have not. (and with regards to this statement, Revelation contains the following:

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Sounds to me like more than just those with the mark go into the lake of fire)

I’m not trying to argue and I sincerely wish all Christians, being true Christians, would not argue over such semantics, but instead have civil conversations and learn from one another. There’s no need for anger when it comes to discussing God’s word. God bless!

It is both astounding and terribly sad how many commenters are deluding themselves from what the Bible clearly states. Humans do have an eternal soul (mentioned 350 times), Hell (mentioned 53 times) does exist and in the end when your physical body dies your eternal soul will end up in one of TWO places for eternity – Hell or Heaven. I can only surmise that the confusion is an outright attempt to deceive, a trait of Lucifer resulted from choosing to follow Satan instead of GOD, or a total ignorance of the subject matter because they haven’t READ the Bible, only read from it. When I say READ the Bible I mean the entire book. You don’t say you READ War and Peace if you only read chapter one. Be forewarned your slight of words and trickery won’t fool GOD in the least. For if you choose to follow Satan you (your eternal soul) will burn in the Lake of Fire with him for eternity.

No disrespect, if you are an honest person and really want an answer, you do need to understand exegesis, which is the interpretation of text, his Storico written information or anything written. Biblical exegesis is the interpretation of the Bible. Because the Bible is written by 66 people over 1500 years you have to be careful how you interpret this collection of writings placed into one book. Christians believe that God, holy spirit, Christ lead The riders and people who put the Bible together and consider this God’s word. Obviously if God is real that would not be difficult for him to accomplish.

You are taking passages out of context with regard to where an unbeliever goes after they die. You have to take all passages of the subject into consideration when confirming a doctrine, in this case it eternal punishment for not believing in Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Jesus used parables and real stories to make his points. Trying to say this as simply as possible.

Jesus relayed a true story Luke 16. .

19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

When you’re referencing the Scriptures about “perishing” you are assuming something that isn’t said. The Greek and Hebrew definitions include die, have no way to flee.

This body I’m in will perish, but we are all getting a new one, an eternal one. Free will, God or anyone can only show they truly love someone or not if the are totally free to make that choice.

Paul, in the book of Romans reminds us that we know God exists by looking at Creation. We see anything in the universe or on this earth that creates itself or something made from nothing. That would have to be the case if evolution were true, evolution is a joke and has never been proven and it’s not science (ask a scientist).

Bible is clear death and Hades is cast into the lake of fire after Christ’s judgment, and those who did not believe in Christ were also thrown there.

To love Jesus should be easy, if we saw anybody doing what he did we would know he is God and flesh. To simply acknowledge our sin and except Christ offer of forgiveness and love and be child in God’s family, and read in God’s word what heaven is, is astounding house someone wouldn’t choose Jesus, but God is Justin for those people who reject him , He won’t force them to heaven and he lets us know the only other alternative is the lake of fire, it’s up to each of us to make our decision.
