Is This Siege of Israel What Christ Meant—“When You See Jerusalem Compassed with Armies?
Christ said, ‘When you see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know the desolation thereof is nigh.” Luke 21:20. He was citing Zechariah—“The day of the Lord comes…I will gather all [Muslim?] nations against Jerusalem to battle.” Zech 14:1,2.
We haven’t seen battle yet, but tens of thousands outside the fence in Gaza suggest potential Because we are at pivotal times, we should study the prophecies to understand the meaning.
“The day of the LORD” cited by Zechariah is the end-time apocalyptic period linked to the setting up of God’s kingdom. How is this so?
The disciples wanted to know if Christ would restore the kingdom to Israel in Acts 1:6. He replied, “It is not for you to know the times and seasons,” but Paul used the same phrase to say that we should know. How?
Paul was putting himself into our time when he said Christ would come and “we which are alive and remain shall be caught up…and of the times and seasons, you have no need that I write, for you know perfectly the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night, for when they shall say Peace and safety, sudden destruction comes as travail on a woman with child” 1Thess 4:16 -5:3.
Unpacking Paul’s statement, he linked the “times and seasons” for the kingdom to be set up with the day of the Lord that is signaled when all nations are gathered against Jerusalem, Zech 14:1,2. Will we see battle? We don’t have long to wait. Ramadan is six weeks away.
Judgment on Jerusalem would signal ‘the day of the LORD,’ an impending time of judgment for the world and the US in particular. Why would this be so?
Egypt killed babies (Exodus 1), but the US has aborted 60 million. Egypt enslaved Israel. The US has enslaved most people in alcohol, tobacco, drugs called ‘healthcare,’ but they are a leading cause of illness and death. People are enslaved to appetites, passions, food, fashion, fiction, gambling, violence, TV, ‘music,’ perversion, pornography, etc.

The ONLY hope the world has is for the nation of “Israel”, a nation of Christ hating, Satan worshiping Jews, to be completely destroyed as God said He would. This event will in turn destroy the faith of tens of millions of “Christians” most of whom had bought the “chosen people” myth which would most certainly lead to the prophesied . . “Great falling away”, which is exactly as intended.
Remember Biblical “Israel” is a people and NOT A PLACE! The confusion of which is rife within church leaders today.
The Jewish people are NOT Israel – this is so incredibly important to understand!
The Jewish people stole the Scriptures from the House of Israel, who today are the Anglo-Saxon, Normanic, Scandinavian, Germanic, Lombardic, and Basque people. But they stole it way back in the days when they came into the Temple at Jerusalem when Judah and Benjamin were trying to rebuild Jerusalem.
This was in the days of the battles of the Maccabees and the Hycranus people. And this was the time when the Pharisees perverted areas of the scripture. After this they produced the complete Talmud. The Babylonian Talmud of today is the Jewish bible – make no mistake. But it is NOT the God’s word. Yahweh changed the name of his people to Christians, The jews retained their name as a CURSE!
Isaiah 65:15: You will leave your name for my chosen ones to use in their curses; the Sovereign LORD will put you to death, but to his servants he will give another name. Acts 11:26 The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch. WHAT were they called PRIOR to the Christians at Antioch ~ The ISRAELITES!
I think you are forgetting the scripture about the valley of dry bones which says that Israel will become a nation again in the last days. Their ancient language (Hebrew) would be resurrected which it has been. God made covenant promises to the “fathers” of Israel which are yet to be fulfilled.
I don’t see ANY SIGN of this happening to the people you list.
It’s nice to pull scriptures out of context that suit your particular position but it’s not necessarily the truth. I’d be really careful about spreading the lie of replacement theology.

Ezekiel 37:16,17,22 shows God’s intent for two sticks representing Judah (Jews who accept Messiah) and Israel (10 tribes that were scattered, many migrating to Europe, intermarrying with Christians and fleeing the papal persecution to the New World–Christians who accept the biblical laws–they become one stick and one kingdom (Ezek 37:16,17 but it’s after the earthquake (great shaking, verse 7), which is also linked to end-times, Joel 2:10,11.
Richard you must clearly distinguish between the “Judeans” – those living in the region of Judea and the “Jews” generally referring to the Pharisees that were the ruling religious elite whose power base was seen to be threatened by Christ, that convinced the occupying Romans to crucify Him.
Jesus Christ was King of the Judeans, NOT king of the “Jews.” It’s this and other confusion of terms leading to a theology based on Biblical misinterpretation is THE principal problem in faith based Christianity today . .

You are correct the tiny nation of Israel is not the House of Israel. The Jews in part have returned to the Promised land but soon they will be taken into captivity along with the remnant from the nations of the House of Israel.

What we see in Israel today is NOT Isael, but a premature return to the land given by the UN with many sincere people, and others that only God can judge their motives, but God’s arithmetic is not broken–He said He would punish Israel 7 times over if they walked contrary to Him (Lev 26:18,21,24,28) and the period of 390 years is given in Ezek 4:5,6. 7 x 390 = 2730 years and it began in 722 BC with the Assyrian Captivity. It reaches to 2008/9 (no year “0”) and in that year, the pope went to Jerusalem (sign to flee, Matt 24:15) so that if obeyed, real believers would not be in Jerusalem for what’s about to happen—Zech 14:1,2 is also what Christ warned about in Luke 21:20.
After the four horns scattered Israel, Judah and Jerusalem (Zech 1:19) THEN come the four carpenters to put them back together, verse 20, which is parallel imagery to the dry bones coming together and the two sticks becoming one.
If the above is not understood, be patient, Ezek 36:24-28 is FUTURE and will happen—Israel is NOT JUST FOR JEWS. Paul said, “If ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise [of land]” Gal 3:29.
The US is NOT the Promised Land—God is going to gather TRUE Christians to the land of the covenant and make a FULL END OF ALL OTHER NATIONS, Jer 30:3,11, “latter days” verse 24, is the context for the New Covenant Promise in the next chapter, 31.

Yes, Christ was King of the Jews or Judeans when He hung on the cross, but when He returns, He will be “King of Kings” and “He will make [us] ruler over all that He has” (Luke 12:44) if we get the wedding parables right.
