Or for Jesus to ‘ride out of the sky on a white horse’…
To ‘save’ them.
But do they care about the Truth?
Are they waiting for any new
Truth to be Revealed to them?
Of course not.
Their insistence is that they already know the Truth.
Their insistence is that they CANNOT be told any Truth which they do not ALREADY know.
Thus, the ONLY role for any ‘messiah’ or ‘mahdi’…
The only thing that Jesus must do after ‘riding out of the sky on a white horse’…
Is NOT to Reveal any new Truth to them.
But to ‘SAVE’ them.
To ‘SAVE’ them from the consequences of their insistence that they already know the Truth.
To ‘SAVE’ them from the consequences of their imperviousness to the Truth.
To ‘SAVE’ them from the consequences of their contempt for the Truth.
To ‘SAVE’ them from the consequences of the EVILS that they have committed, and continue to commit, in the name of Truth.
In fact, the measure of their insistence that someone ‘save’ them is the measure of their insistence that they already know the Truth…
The measure of their CONTEMPT for any Truth which they do not yet know.
And, in fact, any ‘messiah’ or ‘mahdi’ who claims to Reveal a Truth which the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious officials do not already know is, for that reason, NOT any ‘messiah’ or ‘mahdi’…
Which, of course, is why the Jewish religious officials at the time of Jesus—and the Jewish, Christian and Muslim religious officials of today—DID not and DO not want to be told that “the resurrection” is a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’…
Which, of course, is why the rabbis do NOT include the Book of Daniel in the Prophets, but in the Writings.
Because he wrote that “these words will remain secret and sealed until the time of the End” (Chapter 12, verse 9 of the Book of Daniel).
But there is NO such ‘saving’ from either the CONTEMPT for the Truth, or the pursuit of EVIL.
