Before you panic, do you realize how far the Guatemalan border is from the US border?
According to Google Earth as the Crow flies it is over 900 miles. If you had to take roads and go around mountain and so forth I’m sure you would be traveling a least 1200+ miles.
Now lets think for a second. Walking pushing baby carriages, carrying your own food, and money to pay for logging how long would it take you and your family?
How about the hot weather and down pours of rain, and mud?
How many miles can you walk a day?
Twenty miles= 60 days, two months, nonstop. How many pairs of shoes, blisters, can the kids do that much?
Ten miles a day, more reasonable= 120 days, 4 months.
They will be here mid Feb. How much can you carry, how much money per day for food, they sleep outside, no need to pay for the lodging.
No showers, rain will do, no cold night, hot days. I’m sure you get my point, these people can’t be walking. Does someone foot the bill and pay for a bus.
Even then it will take a two or three weeks of constant traveling. I think this is nothing but a photo opp and we will never see them at the border.
