The Religion Communicators Council will hold its 85th annual convention in 2014 in Nashville, TN and has just announced its first presenter.

The Religion Communicators Council (RCC) is in the midst of planning its 85th annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee and has recently scheduled a workshop to be led by Matt Carlisle, founder of Big Heart Creative.

Big Heart Creative is a communications consultancy located in Nashville, Tennessee which partners with nonprofit and faith-based organizations, helping them to embrace new media, create custom websites, and bring strategies to life that make the world a better place.  Carlisle will speak on the topic of strategic planning for religious communicators.

The planning for the 85th convention is being led by Rev. Brian Fesler, Nashville chapter president and pastor of the Church of Scientology. “We are bringing in experts and thought leaders in the field of religious communication to help our members grow at the convention,” says Fesler.

The April 2014 conference will celebrate the 85th anniversary of the RCC.  It is open to members and others involved in religious communication on a professional or academic level. According to the RCC website, “Nationally, RCC offers a yearly convention, complete with exciting keynote speakers and challenging workshops. Highlights of the annual convention are the awards ceremonies where work within religious organizations and in secular media is honored.”

The Religion Communicators Council (RCC), founded in 1929, is an interfaith association of religion communicators at work in print and electronic communication, marketing and in public relations. Members of the RCC come from many different religions and backgrounds including Baha’i, Baptist, Jewish, Methodist, Mormon, Muslim and Scientology among others.
